Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying content from a multi-use fog device are provided. The multi-use fog device may include a processor to execute code segments, and a floating-point gate array (FPGA) card that is coupled to the processor through a PCIe interface. The FPGA card includes a header for connecting sensors to the multi-use fog device, and an FPGA that provides video processing for the multi-use fog device.

Abstract: A digital advertising system includes an advertisements module that provides a number of digital advertisements for display on a digital display device. A digital sign module including the digital display device displays digital advertisements provided by the advertisements module, and captures video analytics data relating to previous viewers of the digital advertisements displayed by the digital sign module. A data mining module retrieves the video analytics data from the digital sign module and generates trained advertising models based thereon using a data mining algorithm. A content management system module coupled to the advertisements module and the data mining module receives the digital advertisements and the trained advertising models and generates a subset of the advertisements for display based on the trained advertising models.

Abstract: A set of samples are returned by radio frequency identifier (RFID) reader corresponding to the readings of signals emitted from a particular RFID tag, each sample including a respective set of features identifying values of the attributes of the signals as detected. At least some of the features are provided as inputs to a random forest of decision trees, each providing a prediction that the particular RFID tag is located in one of a plurality of defined zones in a particular environment. From outputs of the plurality of decision trees based on the set of samples, it can be determined that the particular RFID tag is located in a particular one of the plurality of zones at a first instance in time.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a processor to: identify a workload comprising a plurality of tasks; generate a workload graph based on the workload, wherein the workload graph comprises information associated with the plurality of tasks; identify a device connectivity graph, wherein the device connectivity graph comprises device connectivity information associated with a plurality of processing devices; identify a privacy policy associated with the workload; identify privacy level information associated with the plurality of processing devices; identify a privacy constraint based on the privacy policy and the privacy level information; and determine a workload schedule, wherein the workload schedule comprises a mapping of the workload onto the plurality of processing devices, and wherein the workload schedule is determined based on the privacy constraint, the workload graph, and the device connectivity graph. The apparatus further comprises a communication interface to send the workload schedule to the plurality of processing devices.

Abstract: In various embodiments, an RFID Antenna/Tag Location Configuration device (RLC) may facilitate placement of one or more RFID antennas in a physical space. The RLC may collect RFID data from tags determine which of the RFID antennas need to be relocated. The RLC may determine, based on collected RFID data, whether each antenna is a dominant antenna and/or has a substantial read rate. If an antenna is not dominant and/or does not exhibit a substantial read-rate, the RLC ma indicate that the antenna should be relocated. The RLC may also be configured to filter collected RFID data prior to using the data for determination of antennas. The RLC may also determine, using the RFID antennas, a physical location of RFID tags in the physical space using detected signal strength for RFID tags. Additional embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
