Abstract: A wireless communication device, system and method. The device includes a memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry includes logic to: determine a training field length associated with a directional multigigabit (DMG) CTS frame of another wireless communication device; determine a Clear-To-Send time (CTS_Time) parameter based at least in part on the training field length; determine a transmit opportunity (TXOP) continuation timeout for the device based on the CTS_Time parameter; and set a network allocation vector (NAV) for the device based on the TXOP continuation timeout.

And logic to receive one or more short term resource assessment frames from the first group of STAs, the one or more short term resource assessment frames each comprising an indication of resources for a data transfer.

Abstract: Logic to place one or more protocol data units (PDUs) in a transmit queue for transmission. Logic to perform a directional clear channel assessment (CCA) for a first sector of a 60 gigahertz (GHz) link, the directional CCA to determine only if the first sector is busy or idle. Logic to determine the directional CCA indicates idle for the first sector. Logic to cause transmission of the first PDU to the STA via the first sector of the 60 GHz link based on the directional CCA. Logic to receive an acknowledgement (ACK) of receipt of the PDU from the STA. Logic to perform a directional CCA for a second sector of the 60 GHz link. And logic to communicate via the first sector and the second sector independently.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to media access control (MAC) range extension. A device may cause to append a training field to each of one or more beacon frames. The device may cause to send the one or more beacon frames directionally using a sector sweep to one or more responder devices during a first interval. The device may determine an extended schedule element to be sent to the one or more responder devices, the extended schedule element including one or more directional antenna sectors to be used by the device during a second interval. The device may identify a first frame from a first responder device, during the second interval, wherein the first frame is received on a directional antenna sector of the one or more directional antenna sectors corresponding to an operating sector of the first responder device.

Abstract: Provided herein are techniques for AP coordinated P2P communications in a Wi-Fi network. Embodiments describe an apparatus for an AP including processing circuitry to: encode a first trigger frame, to be transmitted to a plurality of STAs associated with the AP, to query a buffer status of each STA; receive one or more response frames from one or more of the plurality of STAs, each having data to be transmitted to a target receiver STA in the plurality of STAs; allocate one or more RUs for each of a group of STAs selected from the one or more STAs, based on the one or more response frames, and using OFDMA; and encode a second trigger frame, to be transmitted to the selected group of STAs and the target receiver STA for each of the group of STAs, to indicate the allocation of RUs.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems to increase the transmission data rate in wireless networks, for example, by using one or more Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and/or channel bonding techniques. In one embodiment, the disclosure describes the use of Golay Sequence Sets (GSS) to define guard intervals (GIs) for single carrier (SC) single channel bonding and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission. In various embodiments, the disclosure describes the design of guard interval sequence for 3 types of guard intervals having lengths that can be classified as short, medium, and long. In another embodiment, the disclosure defines the guard interval for single channel transmission channel bonding and for MIMO transmission.
