Abstract: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for Wi-Fi network profile verification. An apparatus for a wireless communication device includes: a memory; and processor circuitry coupled with the memory, wherein the processor circuitry is to: encode a verification sequence in a probe request for transmission to an AP; decode, in response to the probe request, a probe response received from the AP to obtain a first verification result; determine a second verification result based on the verification sequence and a verification password (VP) obtained from the AP; and determine whether a verification for the AP is successful or not based on the first verification result and the second verification result, and wherein the memory is to store the VP. Other embodiments may also be disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: Techniques for implementing Wireless Gigabit (WiGig) Display Extension (WDE) communications as Wi-Fi Direct Services (WFDS) services are described. This application of WFDS to WDE may provide necessary mechanisms for layer 2 operations such as device and service discovery, P2P connection management, and session management. Abstract: Certain embodiments herein relate to a dynamic pre-association between Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) discovery windows and fine timing measurement (FTM) communications. A wireless station may trigger an FTM procedure during a NAN discovery window by the transmission of a NAN Service Discovery Frame (SDF). In addition to the FTM communications, an indication of a discovery window for which a subsequent FTM communication is expected to occur is also transmitted. In some embodiments, an FTM range report may also be transmitted with the indication.

An example apparatus includes a buffer controller to store (A) a first set of data packets that have been received on a first interface and (B) a second set of data packets that have been received on a second interface into a buffer, the first and second sets of data packets being received from a wireless device during a same time frame; and a window determiner to control a first bitmap corresponding to the first set of data packets received on the first interface and a second bitmap corresponding to the second set of data packets received on the second interface, a first size of the first bitmap and a second size of the second bitmap being smaller than a third size of the buffer.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a first user device may synchronize a time associated with a second user device. The first user device may generate a neighbor awareness network (NAN) service discovery frame. The first user device may transmit the NAN service discovery frame to the second user device. The first user device may receive a request frame from the second user device based at least in part on transmitting the NAN service discovery frame, wherein the request frame comprises a request for ranging or location information from the first user device. The first user device may receive a NAN service discovery frame from the second user device, wherein the NAN service discovery frame comprises a request for ranging or location information from the first user device. The first user device may transmit a response frame comprising the ranging or location information in response to the received request frame.

Abstract: The application relates to a 4-way handshake optimization. Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to adaptively changing availability of neighbor awareness networking (NAN) devices for post-NAN activities. In some embodiments, a first NAN enabled device may generate a NAN service discovery frame. The first NAN enabled device may transmit the NAN service discovery frame to a plurality of NAN enabled devices during a discovery window of the NAN. A request frame from a second NAN enabled device may be received based at least in part on transmitting the NAN service discovery frame. A response frame may be transmitted to the second NAN enabled device. A second NAN service discovery frame may be generated and include an updated availability bitmap based at least in part on data received in the request frame from the second NAN enabled device. The first NAN enabled device may transmit the second NAN service discovery frame.
