Abstract: Various embodiments herein provide techniques related to a process to be performed by an electronic device. The process may include identifying one or more symbols or slots of a plurality of symbols or slots that are unavailable for transmission of an uplink signal based on an identification that: a symbol related to transmission of the signal overlaps a non-overlapped sub-band frequency-division (NOSB-FD) symbol; and one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs) related to transmission of the signal overlaps a frequency region related to transmission of the NOSB-FD symbol. The technique may further include transmitting the signal in one or more symbols or slots of the plurality of symbols or slots that are not identified as unavailable for transmission of the signal. Abstract: Systems and methods for interlace PUCCH transmission in 5G networks are described. The gNB sends an RRC message to a UE. The RRC message provides one or more PUCCH interlace allocations within a BW. Each PUCCH interlace allocation has a PUCCH format for each PUCCH interlace. Each PUCCH format contains a different PUCCH interlace index. The UE sends a PUCCH interlace in the BWP based on the PUCCH interlace allocation. A PUCCH in the allocated PUCCH interlace has a cyclic shift that is dependent on a resource block number in the allocated PUCCH interlace within the BWP.

In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal comprises a measurement quantity information on one or more measurement quantities to be reported by the UE to the gNodeB during beam reporting, for a set of beams associated with the gNodeB, wherein the one or more measurement quantities comprises layer 1 signal to interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR), or both L1-SINR and L1 reference signal receive power (RSRP). In some embodiments, the beam reporting configuration signal further comprises a reference signal information on a reference signal to be utilized by the UE for measuring the one or more measurement quantities for the set of beams associated with the gNodeB.

Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode higher layer signaling, the higher layer signaling including a default slot duration for a transmission of control signaling The control signaling includes a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) signaling. Synchronization information within a SS block is decoded. The SS block is received within a SS burst set and occupying a plurality of symbols within a slot having the default slot duration. A synchronization procedure is performed with a next generation Node-B (gNB) based on the synchronization information within the SS block and the PBCH signaling.
