Abstract: Apparatus, computer readable medium, and method for sensing and deferral for orthogonal frequency division multiple access in a wireless local-area networks are disclosed. An apparatus of an access point is disclosed. The apparatus comprising memory and processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry may configured to configure the access point to sense a plurality of channels of a bandwidth, and determine a resource allocation for one or more stations for an uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) transmission opportunity. The resource allocation may include one or more channels of the plurality of channels that are sensed as not being busy. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a trigger frame comprising the resource allocation to initiate the UL OFDMA transmission opportunity and configure the access point to transmit the trigger fame to the one or more stations.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of negotiating a range measurement protocol. For example, an initiator station may be configured to transmit a negotiation request message to a responder station and receive a negotiation response message from the responder station to negotiate a range measurement protocol to perform a range measurement procedure with the responder station, the negotiation request message including an initiator protocol element including an indication of one or more initiator range measurement protocols supported by the initiator station, the negotiation response message including a compatibility indication to indicate whether or not at least one of the initiator range measurement protocols is compatible with at least one responder range measurement protocol supported by the responder station; and based on the compatibility indication, select to perform the range measurement procedure with the responder station or to abort communication with the responder station.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for pre-association frame exchange using random access are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The apparatus includes transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry which may be configured to generate a trigger frame for uplink random access (TF-R), and transmit the TF-R. The transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry may be further configured to receive one or more responses in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multiple-access (OFDMA) to the trigger frame from one or more pre-association stations where the responses comprise pre-association identifiers corresponding to the one or more pre-association stations. Moreover, the transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry may be further configured to generate one or more acknowledgements to the one or more pre-association stations, and transmit the acknowledgements in accordance with OFDMA to the one or more pre-association stations.

According to various such techniques, a transmitting 60 GHz-capable device may be configured to include DL MU-MIMO control information in a PHY header of a PPDU that comprises respective data for multiple receiving devices. In some embodiments, the DL MU-MIMO control information may include information identifying each such receiving device. In various embodiments, the DL MU-MIMO control information may include information specifying—for each such receiving device—one or more respective spatial streams that are assigned to that receiving device. Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for uplink transmission power control in a wireless network. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to decode a trigger frame from an access point for an uplink communication, the trigger frame comprising an uplink resource allocation for the station, the uplink resource allocation including common information and per station information, the common information including an indication of a maximum receive power at the access point, the per station information comprising an identification of the station, and an indication of a resource unit (RU). The processing circuitry may be further configured to: encode an uplink (UL) physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU)(UL-PPDU) in accordance with the indication of the RU. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: determine a transmit power for the UL-PPDU based on the maximum receive power.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency Wi-Fi (HEW) station, access point (AP), and method for communication in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the HEW AP may transmit a resource allocation message to indicate an allocation of sub-channels to one or more HEW stations for uplink data transmissions. Information included in the resource allocation message may include various indicators related to full or partial allocation of the sub-channels and whether equal allocations are made for each of the HEW stations. A sub-channel mapping block may also be included to indicate how the sub-channels are assigned to the HEW stations. In some cases, the length of the sub-channel mapping block may vary based at least partly on the indicators included in the message.

The beacon frame may include a transmission timing for the first random access TF and a first TF cascade type for the first random access TF. The first TF cascade type may indicate whether a next TF is a random access TF or a scheduled access TF.
