Abstract:
A disclosed example method to setup a Groupcast with Retries service for use with wireless communications involves sending an association response from an access point to a wireless station, the association response being responsive to a General Link capability of the wireless station received in an association request at the access point from the wireless station; and operating the access point to concurrently establish a General Link and the Groupcast with Retries service between the access point and the wireless station based on the association request indicating that the wireless station supports the Groupcast with Retries service.

A disclosed example method to setup a Groupcast with Retries service for use with wireless communications involves receiving an association response at a wireless station from an access point. The association response is responsive to a General Link capability of the wireless station sent in an association request from the wireless station to the access point. The example method also involves confirming a General Link and the Groupcast with Retries service between the wireless station and the access point based on the association response indicating that the access point has successfully associated the wireless station with the access point.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments herein are directed to enabling service interoperability functionality for wireless fidelity (WiFi) Direct devices connected to a network via a wireless access point. A WiFi Direct device may identify various other WiFi Direct devices on a WiFi network for performing a requested service, such as printing content or displaying content to a screen. In so doing, the device may share information associated with an access point to which the device is connected with the other devices, which may also share information associated with an access point to which they are connected. In this way, WiFi Direct devices may discover their connectivity with respect to other devices to utilize a broader array of connection options for implementing a desired service, and hence, may leverage application programming interface (API) modules directed at providing service interoperability functionality between software applications and services requested by the software applications.
Abstract:
Computer readable media, methods, and apparatuses for location estimation using multi-user multiple-input multiple-output in a wireless local-area network are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configure to: encode a fine timing measurement (FTM) initiate (FTI) frame, the FTI frame comprising M0 message uplink resource allocations for a plurality of responders to transmit M0 messages to the HE STA. The processing circuitry further configured to configure the HE STA to transmit the FTI frame to the plurality of responders, and decode M0 messages from the plurality of responders in accordance with the M0 message uplink resource allocations, where the M0 messages are to be received at the HE STA at times T2 in accordance with multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO). The processing circuitry further configured to acknowledge the M0 messages to be transmitted at a time T3, and decode M1 messages comprising a corresponding time T1 and time T4.
