摘要： A digital broadcast receiver and a control method thereof are disclosed. The control method includes receiving a broadcast signal into which mobile service data and main service data are multiplexed, extracting TPC signaling information and FIC signaling information from a data group in the received mobile service data, acquiring a program table describing virtual channel information and a service of an ensemble, using the extracted FIC signaling information, the ensemble being a virtual channel group of the received mobile service data, detecting a conditional access descriptor indicating whether the mobile service data was encrypted, using the acquired program table, and controlling such that the encrypted mobile service data is decrypted, using information of the detected conditional access descriptor.

摘要： A transmitting system and a method for processing data are disclosed herein. The transmitting system includes a service multiplexer and at least one transmitter located in a remote position from the service multiplexer. Herein, the service multiplexer generates an RS frame having the size of N(row)xl87(column) bytes including at least one type of mobile service data, packetizes the RS frame into a plurality of mobile service data packets, and multiplexes the packetized mobile service data packets with a main service data packet at a predetermined data rate, thereby transmitting the multiplexed data packets. Herein, each mobile service data packet is configured of a TS header and a data region, and the data region is configured of at least one of a payload region and an adaptation field region. The transmitter recovers the RS frame from the mobile service data packets based upon the TS header of each mobile service data packet transmitted from the service multiplexer, and performs error correction encoding and block encoding on data of the recovered RS frame, thereby transmitting the processed RS frame data to a receiving system.

摘要： A method of processing broadcast data includes: receiving a broadcast signal including a group including mobile service data, FIC data, TPC data and known data sequences; demodulating the broadcast signal; compensating channel distortion generated in the demodulated broadcast signal based upon at least one of the known data sequences; decoding the FIC data and the TPC data from the channel distortion compensated broadcast signal; extracting the signaling information table from the channel distortion compensated broadcast signal; identifying a stream where keys to decrypt the mobile service data are obtained using the extracted signaling information table; and decrypting the mobile service data using the keys. The group further includes data blocks. First, fourth, fifth and sixth known data sequences are inserted into third, fifth, sixth and seventh data blocks, respectively. Second and third known data sequences are inserted into a fourth data block.

The transmitting system includes a service multiplexer and at least one transmitter located in a remote position from the service multiplexer. The service multiplexer transmits an operations and maintenance (OM) packet and mobile service data. Herein, the OM packet describes a transmission parameter including a transmission frame information, a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame information, and a serial concatenated convolution code (SCCC) information of the mobile service data. Each transmitter performs error correction encoding and block encoding on the mobile service data based upon the transmission parameter within the OM packet transmitted from the service multiplexer, thereby transmitting the processed mobile service data to a receiving system.
