Abstract: A liner for a ladle is formed of a body of refractory material defining a hollow interior which is bounded by a continuous sidewall. Within the interior is a barrier of refractory material which faces the interior surface of part of the sidewall and is spaced inwardly therefrom in the hollow interior of the body to define with said facing part of said sidewall a spout for discharging molten metal, in use, from the ladle. The barrier has two longitudinal edge surfaces received at two facing inner portions of the sidewall respectively which are extended inwardly. By providing these inward extensions the barrier can be positioned within the interior of the liner thereby obviating the need for an outward extension from the liner body to define a spout. This enables the liner to be used with ladle shells without the shell requiring modification to accommodate such an outward extension.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to control a digital projector. After receiving a turn-on request, the temperature associated with the light source is sensed and compared to a predetermined threshold. If the temperature is below the threshold, then the digital projector's light source is turned on. Otherwise, if the temperature is not below the threshold, the digital projector's cooling device is turned on and the turning on of the light source is delayed until the temperature falls below the threshold. After receiving a turn-off request, the cooling device is turned off coincident with the light source and without regard to the light-source temperature.

Abstract: A filter assembly for an exhaust stack having a housing defining an interior chamber and an inlet and an outlet which are connected in series with the exhaust stack. A mounting frame is secured diagonally within the interior of the housing so that the mounting frame is interposed between the inlet and outlet of the housing. A plurality of filter elements are detachably secured to the mounting frame so that influent into the housing inlet passes through the filter elements prior to exhaust out through the housing outlet and to the atmosphere. The filter assembly is easily retrofitted to existing systems by severing and removing a portion of the stack and installing the filter assembly in its place.

Abstract: A method for producing a metal article according to one embodiment may include: Providing a supply of a sodium/molybdenum composite metal powder; compacting the sodium/molybdenum composite metal powder under sufficient pressure to form a preformed article; placing the preformed article in a sealed container; raising the temperature of the sealed container to a temperature that is lower than a sintering temperature of molybdenum; and subjecting the sealed container to an isostatic pressure for a time sufficient to increase the density of the article to at least about 90% of theoretical density.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly may include a connector body having a conductor receiving end, a first link interface, a second link interface, a first connector end, and a visible open port between the first link interface and the second link interface. The first link interface may be conductively coupled to the conductor receiving end and the second link interface may be spaced axially from the first link interface and conductively coupled to the first connector end. The first link interface and the second link interface are configured to receive a link assembly therein. An insulative material may be positioned within the connector body axially between the first link interface and the second link interface. At least a portion of the insulative material may be visible through the visible open port.
