摘要: An improved wheel chock system for preventing excessive movement of tires, wheels, and other rollable objects, having two cooperating members connected via a connector permitting pivotal movement by at least one of the cooperating members about the connector. The cooperating members each have a handle at their one end for actuating wheel chocks retained at their other end throughout a range between a fully open condition where the wheel chocks are spaced away from each other, and a fully closed condition where the wheel chocks are spaced adjacent to one another.

摘要: A method of making a cutter structure comprising super-hard material defining a rake face topology is provided. The method includes providing a pre-sinter assembly comprising a substrate body having a formation surface defining a topology complementary to the rake face topology, and an aggregation comprising a plurality of super-hard grains, the aggregation disposed adjacent the formation surface of the substrate body, the substrate body comprising a source of catalyst or binder material capable of promoting the sintering of the super-hard grains at a pressure and temperature at which the super-hard material is thermodynamically stable; subjecting the pre-sinter assembly to the pressure and temperature to provide a sintered polycrystalline super-hard structure joined to the formation surface of the substrate body at a first major boundary of the super-hard structure and having a second major boundary surface opposite the formation surface; removing the substrate body to expose the first major boundary of the super-hard structure defining the rake face topology. Cutter inserts and machine tools are also provided.

摘要: Apparatus and a method for treating an irregularity in a wall of a vessel of a patient defined by an irregular or afflicted wall portion with adjacent normal wall portions comprises a catheter having a distal end portion for being guided through the vessel to the site of the irregularity. A balloon associated with said distal end portion of the catheter for selective inflating to contact the walls of the vessel urges a stent carried by the distal end portion of the catheter in a constricted condition for passage through the vessel into an expanded form with the stent spanning the afflicted wall portion and contacting the adjacent wall portions. The catheter is formed with lumens for inflating the balloon, for receiving a guidewire for guiding the catheter through the vessel, and for connecting a port in the catheter proximate the afflicted wall portion to enable delivery of a therapeutic agent into the vessel to contact the stent and the irregular wall portion.

摘要: The invention provides a system which comprises a medical device that delivers a combination of therapies. These therapies include the administration of radiation, biologically active materials, cryotherapy, and thermotherapy. The present invention is also directed to a method of treating body lumen surfaces using the system of the invention. A system is provided for delivering a biologically active material to a surface of a body lumen being exposed to a radioactive source. In one aspect, the system comprises an implantable medical device which has two opposing ends, each having a surface, and a middle portion. The two opposing ends comprise a biologically active material and the middle portion of the medical device is substantially free of any biologically active material. In another aspect, the system delivers a genetic material to a surface of a body lumen which is exposed to a radioactive source. Another system is provided for treating a surface of a body lumen in which the system comprises an implantable medical device which comprises a biologically active material and a device for applying a therapy source to the parts of the body lumen surface that are in contact with the opposing ends of the medical device. The therapy source may be a cryotherapy source or a thermotherapy source.

摘要: A method of supporting at least two different investor groups with different maximum leverage ratios in one investment fund is disclosed. Each different investor group may have an associated tracking account. According to various embodiments, the method includes establishing contractual arrangements between investors of the investor groups, the investment fund and an external lender. The contractual arrangements limit the recourse of the external lender to assets allocable to the investors of an investor group if the tracking account associated with such investor group triggers a margin call on a loan from the external lender. Alternatively, the contractual arrangements may limit the recourse of the external lender to assets allocable to the investors of an investor group if the trading account triggers a margin call to the extent that such call is allocable to such investor group. Loan proceeds from the external lender and contributions from each investor of the find are invested through a trading account associated with the investment fund. The method also includes calculating an allocation percentage of a trading account of the investment fund for each investor group to account for profits and losses of the trading account over the trading cycle based on the leverage ratio of each investor group.
