    摘要: Novel granular particulates of sodium metasilicate, well adapted for improved detergency applications, are comprised of a central core of essentially anhydrous sodium metasilicate and a core-enveloping sheath of sodium metasilicate pentahydrate therefor, the amount of water which comprises said sodium metasilicate pentahydrate comprising at least 10% by weight, and advantageously from 10 to 20 or 25% by weight, of the total weight of said particulates.

    摘要: The invention concerns a method for preparing thermoplastics to obtain a hydrophilic behaviour of the surface of objects made from said thermoplastics. The invention also concerns the additives used to obtain said surface hydrophily, said additives being mixed and jointly melted with the thermoplastics (mass-additivation process). The melted mixtures of thermoplastics and additives are shaped by any conventional means (extrusion, injection film stretching) to obtain the desired objects. The invention further concerns the uses of said thermoplastic objects with hydrophilized surfaces.

    摘要: The present invention relates especially to a composition for manufacturing an article comprising one or more superposed layers each less than 5 centimetres thick, comprising a hydraulic binder and at least one compound chosen from an organic compound comprising at least two hydrophilic functions and a hydrophobic chain, and a polyamide oligomer. The use of these additives in the presence of hydraulic binder allows the manufacture of articles and coatings with good protection against water uptake, satisfactory water resistance and good mechanical properties such as breaking strength.

    摘要: Anhydrous sodium metasilicate is stabilized against attrition or "dusting" in detergent and other use, by formulating same with such amount of an additive, e.g., a hydrate, that will transfer water content to the anhydrous metasilicate, at a temperature less than the fusion temperature of sodium metasilicate pentahydrate and as will convert from about 1% to 20% by weight of said anhydrous metasilicate into its pentahydrate form.
