    摘要: Disclosed is a DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal and a method for providing a broadcast preview service in a terrestrial DMB system. The method provides a broadcasting service preview by a DMB terminal in a DMB system having a DMB broadcasting station for providing the DMB terminal with ensembles containing at least one broadcasting service provided by respective service providers. The method includes receiving all of the ensembles at a broadcasting service preview request of a user, creating preview images for broadcasting services within the ensembles, and displaying the preview images on a screen together with corresponding broadcasting service information. The user can obtain detailed information regarding available broadcasting services and conveniently select a desired broadcasting service without additional operation.

    摘要: Disclosed is a user interface method for switching modes in a combined terrestrial DMB terminal. When an event according to other mode (B) occurs, a user's key input is confirmed. It is checked if the key input aims at mode switching, and if so, a current service mode is switched to the other mode (B). Otherwise, it is further checked if the key input is a key input for immediate execution. When the key input for immediate execution aims at immediate execution following audio termination, an audio service in the current service mode (A) is terminated, and then the current service mode is switched to the other mode (B). When the key input for immediate execution aims at immediate execution without the audio termination, a video service in the current service mode (A) is terminated, and then the current service mode is switched to the other mode (B).

    摘要: A wide band dispersion-controlled fiber which comprises a core forming an optical signal transmission path and having a peak refractive index, and a cladding surrounding the core and having a peak refractive index lower than the peak refractive index of the core. The wide band dispersion-controlled fiber further comprises at least one dispersion control layer arranged between the core and the cladding and having a refractive index profile such that its refractive index increases from an inner periphery to an outer periphery. The minimum refractive index of the dispersion control layer is less than the peak refractive indices of the core and cladding.

    摘要: Disclosed is a wide-band dispersion controlled optical fiber. The optical fiber enables the use of optical signals in various wavelength regions in a wavelength division multiplexing mode communication network by controlling the position of the zero dispersion wavelength, and enables long distance transmission by controlling dispersion slope and bending loss. Furthermore, there is an advantage in that the optical fiber enables not only short distance transmission but also middle/long distance transmission using a single type of optical fiber because the optical fiber is controlled to have negative dispersion values in the O-band wavelength region and positive dispersion values with small deviations in the C-band and L-band wavelength regions.

The automatic wavelength recognition apparatus includes: a division unit receiving a single optical signal and dividing the received optical signal into a plurality of optical signals; a plurality of filter units filtering the optical signals and having different and wavelength-dependent pass characteristics; a plurality of detection units detecting the filtered optical signals and measuring intensities of the detected optical signals; at least one comparison unit comparing outputs of any two of the detection units; and a wavelength determination unit receiving an output of the at least one comparison unit and determining a wavelength of the above single optical signal using a pre-stored look-up table.
