    摘要: A parking brake system having a lock mechanism provided within a casing to the rear of a parking piston that provides a parking brake mode by forward movement of a lock mechanism in response to the action of a parking control fluid pressure. The lock mechanism responds to forward movement of the parking piston to mechanically lock the parking piston at a forward position and unlocking in response to the action of a parking release control fluid pressure. The lock mechanism includes a lock piston that is to the rear of the parking piston having an axis orthogonal to the axis of the parking piston. This enables an automatic parking brake mode to be obtained by a simple structure without consuming power.

This enables an automatic parking brake state to be obtained by a simple structure without consuming power.

Therefore, it is possible to suppress the amount of change in the fluid pressure during anti-lock control, thus improving the braking effect and the braking feel.

The control device can also be applied to a vehicle having a specification in which the co-operative control is carried out. In order to achieve this, the steering torque detected by the steering torque detecting device is input into a corrected steering torque calculating device of a first electronic control unit for controlling the driving force and/or braking force distribution device and a corrected steering torque which has been calculated in the corrected steering torque calculating device is input into the second electronic control unit for controlling the electric power steering device. The second electronic control unit controls the electric power steering device based on the corrected steering torque and thus the torque steer phenomenon caused by the driving force and/or braking force distribution device is suppressed.

    摘要: The damping force of a damper on a motor vehicle is automatically controlled dependent on the running condition of the motor vehicle and the road condition in which the motor vehicle travels. An acceleration of vertical vibration of the motor vehicle body is detected by a sensor, and a binary pulse signal indicative of a variation in the acceleration is produced. Then, a first signal is generated on the basis of whether the pulse duration of the binary pulse signal is at least a prescribed value or smaller than the prescribed value. Thereafter, a second signal is produced indicating the magnitude of the absolute value of the acceleration. Finally, the damping force of the damper is selectively adjusted to hard, normal, and soft settings based on a combination of the first and second signals.
