    摘要: Tools and techniques are described for providing multi-lingual word hyphenation using inductive machine learning on training data. Methods provided by these techniques may receive training data that includes hyphenated words, and may inductively generate hyphenation patterns that represent substrings of these words. The hyphenation patterns may include the substrings and hyphenation codes associated with characters occurring in the substrings. The methods may receive induction parameters applicable to generating the hyphenation patterns, and may store the hyphenation patterns into a language-specific lexicon file. These methods may also receive requests to hyphenate input words that occur in a human language, and may evaluate how to process the request based on the language. The methods may search for hyphenation patterns occurring in the input words, with the hyphenation patterns being stored in the lexicon file. Finally, the methods may respond to the request, indicating whether the hyphenation patterns occurred in the input words.

Compact and inexpensive interrogation devices are realized by implementing integrated circuit chip-based RFID reader and antenna on a common substrate. The small form-factor devices may be used for quick and easy installation of RFID reader network. In an aspect, the device may be incorporated into hand-held mobile devices in order to serve as a mobile reader. In another aspect, the device may be installed as a shelf-reader or a rack-reader, displaying product-specific information on a display screen. In a further aspect, the device may comprise an appliance, whose operation can be tailored according to instructions received specific to a RFID-tagged item.

Each RFID tag of the plurality of RFID tags backscatter transmits a signal. In one embodiment, the reader includes a plurality of antennas and a signal processor. In another embodiment, the system includes a signal processor and a plurality of readers each including an antenna. In either embodiment, each antenna receives a plurality of signals corresponding to the backscatter transmitted signals. The signal processor combines the received plurality of signals to produce an output signal.

    摘要: System and methods for optimizing communications between an RFID reader and a population of tags are described. To increase a read rate, the reader and tags use a partial binary tree traversal. In partial binary tree traversal, a first portion of a tag identification sequence is read. A set marker command is then transmitted to a group of tags causing the tags to set a bit position for start of subsequent binary tree traversal. The subsequent binary tree traversal for the tag group starts at the marked position. Thus, the reader and group of tags negotiate a subset of the identification sequence instead of the entire identification sequence.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to locating and imaging with a swallowable sensor device disposed in a patient. The swallowable sensor device transmits an acoustic signal from inside a patient's body. A plurality of sensing elements receive the acoustic signal. A computation module determines a location of the swallowable sensor device with respect to the plurality of sensing elements based on the acoustic signal received by at least a subset of the plurality of sensing elements. A three-dimensional image of an interior portion of the patient can also be formed based on the received acoustic signal. The three-dimensional image may be formed by stereoscopically displaying two two-dimensional images of the interior portion, wherein the two two-dimensional images correspond to the swallowable sensor device being located at two different locations. Alternatively, the three-dimensional image may be formed by computing three-dimensional pixels of the interior portion.
