    摘要: An optical information read apparatus for optically reading information recorded on a recording medium includes an optical head for producing two detected signals whose phases vary according to a tracking error of the head, and a tracking error detecting circuit for producing a tracking error signal corresponding to a phase difference between the two detected signals, and a tracking controller for controlling the optical head in response to the tracking error signal. The tracking error detecting circuit has a correlation test circuit for checking a correlation between the states of the two detected signals, and for making the tracking error signal substantially invalid when there is no correlation between the states of the two detected signals. Thus, a stable tracking control can be performed.

    摘要: The present invention is a video signal recording and reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing video signals (SvN) inputted from a plurality (n) of different cameras (CMn). A frame switcher (2) sequentially selects one of the video signals (SvN) in prescribed order, and identifying signal adders (10a, 10b) add an identifying signal (Sid) representing a corresponding camera number (N) to the selected video signal (SvN) and generate recording signals (Sr1, Sr2). A recording signal processor (11) modulates the recording signals (Sr1, Sr2) and recording magnetic heads (16a, 16b) record them on a magnetic tape (4). Reproducing heads (15a, 15b) reproduce a recorded recording signal (Sr′) from the magnetic tape (4) and a reproducing processor (14) demodulates the signal. A camera number detector (23) detects the identifying signal (Sid) from a demodulated video signal (Sr2′). Memory (24) stores the demodulated video signal (Sr2′) in relation to the detected identifying signal (Sid), thereby allowing high-speed and normal-speed replay of video from a desired video signal source without video signals from a plurality of video signal sources mixed into.

Preferably, in the LP mode, a pilot signal of a higher frequency than that used in the SP mode is recorded. In a tracking error detector for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus for detecting the pilot signal, the reproduced signals are sampled at a frequency at a common multiple of each pilot frequency, a pilot signal is detected, and a tracking error signal is output.

    摘要: An information reproducing apparatus for reproducing information recorded on slant information tracks includes magnetic heads mounted on a rotary cylinder. The magnetic heads scan a magnetic tape which has slant information tracks on which tracking pilot signals are formed. A tracking error detector detects the tracking error signal of the magnetic head scanning using the tracking pilot signal recorded on the slant information tracks. The tracking error detector then generates a tracking error signal indicating the amount of the track bending. A control signal generator generates a control signal in response to the tracking error signal for controlling the scanning position of the magnetic head. A tracking controller controls the slant track scanning position of the magnetic head.

    摘要: A tape medium recording and/or reproducing apparatus suited for use in recording or reproducing information on or from a plurality of tracks on a tape medium. Each track has first and second regions defined therein in a direction conforming to the direction of scan. Each first region has a positioning signal recorded therein while a tracking pilot signal is recorded in selected ones of the first regions. The apparatus includes a positioning signal detector for detecting the positioning signal to provide a reproducing position signal, and a reproduction timing generator for generating a reproduction timing signal at a first timing determined by the reproducing position signal. A timing memory is provided to store the length of time from the timing, at which the rotational reference position of a cylinder has been detected, to the first timing. When no positioning signal can be detected, a timing protector generates a pseudo timing signal based on a previously detected timing stored in the timing memory and also for combining the pseudo timing signal with the reproduction timing signal to provide a protection timing signal. A tracking control section performs tracking control in reference to a level determined by the pilot signals sampled by the sample timing signal. The apparatus can perform insert-recording by determining the timing therefor based on the reproduction timing signal.

    摘要: The present invention purports to provide a tape recording/reproducing apparatus capable of causing a plurality of tapes having different width respectively to travel smoothly and its cassette. The cassette positioning spring 1 gives an appropriate pressing force even in the case that the cassettes have different thicknesses, and the cassettes are respectively fixed at predetermined positions so that the lower edges of the magnetic tape 3a, 3b are positioned at the same height. The flange 9 of the guide post 12 is shifted in an up-and-down direction in response to a magnetic tape width signal detected through the cassette detecting switch 13 or the beginning edge detector 14a, or the ending edge detector 14b, so that even narrow magnetic tape 3a can travel at the predetermined height. Furthermore, by changing the inclined angle and/or the inclined direction of the movable post 10, a downward torsion force is applied to the narrow magnetic tape 3a. In this fashion, magnetic heads to be used are selected in accordance with the magnetic tape width detected by the cassette detecting switch 13 or the beginning edge and the ending edge detectors 14a, 14b.
