Abstract: A wireless power reception device according to an embodiment of the present specification comprises: a power pickup circuit configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmission device by magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmission device at an operating frequency, and convert an AC signal generated by the wireless power into a DC signal; and a communication/control circuit for communicating with the wireless power transmission device by using in-band communication using the operation frequency and out-band communication using a frequency other than the operation frequency, wherein the communication/control circuit transmits access information of a Wi-Fi network connected to the wireless power reception device, to the wireless power transmission device by using the out-band communication.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a wireless power receiver for receiving wireless power on the basis of out-band communication is provided. The receiver comprises: a power pick-up circuit configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmitter at an operating frequency; and a communication/control circuit configured to perform at least one of in-band communication using the operating frequency and out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency. Here, on the basis of at least one of the received voltage in the power pick-up circuit and a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of a first signal related to the out-band communication, the communication/control circuit may perform a power interruption procedure for interrupting transmission of the wireless power and a disconnection procedure for releasing the connection of the out-band communication.

Abstract: A wireless power receiver may comprise: a power pick-up circuit configured to receive power wirelessly from a wireless power transmitter including a plurality of primary coils by magnetic coupling to the wireless power transmitter at an operating frequency and to convert an alternating current signal induced by the wireless power into a direct current signal; a communication/control circuit receiving the direct current signal supplied from the power pick-up circuit and including an in-band communication module which communicates with the wireless power transmitter by using the operating frequency, and an out-band communication module which communicates with the wireless power transmitter by using any frequency except for the operating frequency; and a load configured to receive the direct current signal supplied from the power pick-up circuit, wherein the communication/control circuit transmits a message informing of the start of power allocation negotiation, to other wireless power receivers by using the out-band communication module.

Abstract: The present specification relates to a device and method for wirelessly transmitting power on the basis of the reestablishment of out-band communication. The present specification discloses a wireless power receiving device comprising a communication/control circuit configured to carry out the operations of: performing handover from in-band communication using operating frequencies to out-band communication using any frequencies except for the operating frequencies; transmitting power characteristic information to the wireless power transmitting device or receiving power characteristic information from the wireless power transmitting device through the out-band communication before entering a power transmission phase; and saving power state information determined during the power transmission phase. By defining an out-band communication reestablishment protocol for the wireless power transmitting device or wireless power receiving device, it is possible to improve the performance of wireless power transmission throughout-band communication reestablishment that is fast and efficient.
