The present invention relates to a method and a device for a first device setting the address of a second device through a Bluetooth mesh network wherein a setting message for setting the address is transmitted to the second device, and a first status message is received from the second device as a response to the setting message, the first status message comprising status information indicating whether the setting of the address was successful, and the setting message comprises at least one among an address field comprising an address value to be used by the second device in the Bluetooth mesh network or a first identifier indicating a request or no request for a response to the setting message.

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for forming, by a first device, forming a Wi-Fi connection with a second device using Bluetooth LE in a wireless communication system, including receiving an advertising message from the second device, forming a Bluetooth LE connection with the second device based on the advertising message, transmitting a first write request message to the second device requesting writing of authentication information necessary for performing Wi-Fi authentication with the third device, wherein the first write request message including the authentication information, receiving a write response message from the second device as a response to the first write request message, and sending a second write request message to request the writing of Opcode indicating a Wi-Fi connection with the third device to the second device. The second write request message includes identification information for identifying the third device, and the Wi-Fi connection is formed between the second and the third devices based on the authentication information.

A method of extending a data length of Bluetooth communication according to the present invention includes receiving a first message including information of a second device from the second device, transmitting a connection request message to the second device based on the first message, performing Bluetooth connection with the second device based on the connection request message, transmitting an extension request message which requests extension of a transmission data length and a reception data length through the connected Bluetooth, and receiving an extension response message in response to the request message through the connected Bluetooth, wherein the request message includes at least one of first maximum transmission data length information, first maximum reception data length information, first maximum transmission time information, or first maximum reception time information of the first device, and wherein the response message includes at least one of second maximum transmission data length information, second maximum reception data length information, second maximum transmission time information, or second maximum reception time information of the second device.

Disclosed is a method for transmitting and receiving data by a first node in a Bluetooth mesh network. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring, from a control device for controlling the Bluetooth mesh network, a command message instructing to start a procedure for acquiring specific information of all nodes included in the Bluetooth mesh network; broadcasting a request packet for discovering a node near a first node; receiving a response packet to the request packet, from each of a plurality of nodes which have received the request packet; registering the plurality of nodes as low near nodes for the first node; and receiving a specific packet including the specific information from each of the plurality of nodes belonging to the low near nodes.
