Abstract: A planar display assembly is provided with a planar display pane in a frame with apertures formed about a periphery. Base members have a post received within the apertures. A retaining wall with ratchet teeth extends from each base member. Latch members with a hoop portion with a slot receive each retaining wall for adjustment in a direction toward the frame to accommodate display panes of varying thicknesses. A tooth is formed in each latch member to engage the ratchet teeth for adjustment. A release tab is provided on each latch member for manual release of the tooth from the ratchet teeth. A flexible arm extends from each latch members to engage and retain the planar display pane within the frame.

Abstract: A planar display assembly is provided with a planar display pane. A frame is provided with a dado sized to receive the planar display pane. A plurality of retainers mounts to the frame about an inner periphery of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame. At least one of the plurality of retainers is elastically deformable to deform during installation of the planar display into the frame, and to expand to retain the planar display pane within the frame. A plurality of apertures or a channel may be formed in the frame about the dado. Abstract: A back plate assembly for home hardware is provided with a base and an attachment. The base includes at least one mount aperture and is adapted to be mounted to a support surface. The base defines a receptacle, a through-hole, a pair of grooves disposed at an outer edge of the through-hole, and a pair of ledges offset from an inner edge of the through-hole. The attachment includes a lock member with a pair of lock features and a connector member sized for insertion between the pair of ledges when the attachment is oriented in a first radial position. Each of the pair of lock features is positioned on the attachment for insertion within one of the grooves and the connector member is sized to rest upon the ledges when the connector member extends through the through-hole and the attachment is rotated to a second radial position.

Abstract: A fastener assembly is provided having a cylindrical shank with a plurality of annular grooves formed along a length of the shank. A plurality of elongated ribs extends perpendicular to the grooves along the length. A fastener disc is provided with a central opening with a diameter less than a cylindrical shank diameter wherein an inner edge of the central opening includes a contact surface. The fastener disc is retained on the fastener portion in a locked position when the contact surface engages one of the plurality of grooves with a friction fit. The fastener disc is rotated to a release position so that the elongated rib contacts the inner edge thereby releasing the contact surface from the grooves.

Abstract: A hardware assembly is provided with a rigid hardware component. A flexible substrate is mounted to the rigid hardware component. A reversible dry adhesive is spread across an application surface of the flexible substrate to mount the hardware assembly to a support surface. The flexible substrate permits compliance between the reversible dry adhesive and the rigid hardware component to minimize nonconformance of the reversible dry adhesive upon the support surface. A method of installing the hardware assembly provides a flexible substrate with a rigid hardware component upon one side of the flexible substrate, and a reversible dry adhesive upon another side of the flexible substrate. The rigid hardware component is pressed towards a support surface to engage the reversible dry adhesive with the support surface while deforming the flexible substrate to minimize nonconformance of the reversible dry adhesive and the support surface.
