    Abstract: A method for performing uplink (UL) transmission control of an electronic device and an associated apparatus are provided, where the method includes the steps of: determining a set of UL transmission patterns for a dedicated physical data channel (DPDCH) and a dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH), wherein one of the set of UL transmission patterns indicates whether UL transmission of a plurality of slots of one of the DPDCH and the DPCCH in at least one transmission time interval (TTI) is required, respectively; and performing UL transmission of the DPDCH and the DPCCH according to the set of UL transmission patterns, wherein with aid of a UL transmission pattern for the DPDCH within the set of UL transmission patterns, UL transmission of at least one slot of the DPDCH is prevented in the at least one TTI. The method may include selecting one of multiple sets of UL transmission patterns.

    Abstract: A method for early termination of transmission is disclosed.     Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines that a first uplink control channel is scheduled to be transmitted in a first slot set including multiple consecutive slots and that a second uplink control channel is scheduled to be transmitted in a second slot set including one or more consecutive slots. The UE determines that the first uplink control channel and the second uplink control channel overlap in a first slot that is included in both the first slot set and the second slot set. The UE determines that a particular uplink control channel of the first uplink control channel and the second uplink control channel is to be transmitted in the first slot based on a predetermined rule. The UE transmits the particular uplink control channel in the first slot.

    Abstract: Techniques and examples of reservation of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) resources in UCI in wireless communications are described. Accordingly, a UE determines how a HARQ-ACK is to be transmitted to a network node of a wireless network. The UE reserves HARQ-ACK resources among a plurality of resource elements (REs) for a two-bit HARQ-ACK based on a result of the determining. The UE then transmits the HARQ-ACK, having zero bit, one bit or two bits, to the network node in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the reserved HARQ-ACK resources such that the PUSCH is punctured for the HARQ-ACK.

    Abstract: A method of beam recovery request (BRR) transmission is proposed. In a first step of beam failure detection, UE detects a beam failure condition of the original serving beam. In a second step of candidate beam identification, UE performs measurements for candidate beam selection. In a third step of BRR transmission, UE transmits a BRR message to BS upon the triggering condition for BRR is satisfied. In a fourth step of monitoring BS response, UE monitors BS response of the BRR transmission. In one advantageous aspect, the BRR transmission is over dedicated contention-free PUCCH resources, maybe with other uplink control information (UCI). Furthermore, the BRR message indicates the status of one or more configured beams, or the status of one or more identified beams, and reports corresponding beam quality indicators.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for URLLC and eMBB collision resolution. In one novel aspect, the UE initiates a collision resolution such that an URLLC uplink transmission colliding with the scheduled eMBB UL transmission can be carried out successfully. The UE modifies the scheduled eMBB UL transmission based on the collision resolution. In one embodiment, the URLLC UL transmission is for the same UE and the UE punctures the UL eMBB transmission based on predefined rules and transmitting both the UL URLLC and the UL eMBB. In another embodiment, the URLLC UL transmission colliding with the eMBB is from another UE. In one embodiment, the collision resolution command is embedded in a downlink control information (DCI) specifying a TPC offset larger than 3dB for an HARQ-ACK feedback or for a PUSCH transmission or a stop indicator to stop the UL eMBB transmission through one layer-1 (L1) signaling.
