摘要: Methods for modifying a patrol route of a safety officer include monitoring persons within geographic areas, identifying a safety officer, tracking an elapsed time value for each of the persons indicating a respective quantity of time since a person has been within a threshold proximity to the safety officer, determining a total elapsed time value for each of the geographic areas based on the respective elapsed time values for each of the persons currently located in the geographic area, determining that a patrol route of the safety officer should be modified based on the total elapsed time value for each of the geographic areas, modifying the patrol route of the safety officer, and transmitting the modified patrol route to the safety officer. The modified patrol route indicates that the safety officer is to patrol a given geographic area of the geographic areas.

摘要: A process for improving situational awareness at an incident scene includes first receiving audio or video of a user and detecting, in one or both of the audio and video, an instruction directed to a crowd. A compliance metric associated with the instruction is then accessed and one or more available second cameras having a field of view that incorporates a current location of the crowd are identified. One or more video streams from the second cameras are received that include the crowd. From the one or more video streams, determinations are made that the crowd as a whole meets a minimum level of compliance with the instruction and that a level of compliance of a particular other user in the crowd has fallen below a threshold level of compliance. In response, a computing device performs a noncompliance action.

摘要: A method and apparatus for disambiguating touch interactions is disclosed. Specifically, a plurality of touch events may be received from an input device. The touch events may each occur at a relative time and location with respect to the other touch events. Based at least on the relative locations and relative times of each touch event, a predetermined number of touch events may be grouped into combinations of touch events. For example, touch events may be grouped together into a first and second touch event set based on a largest time difference between consecutive touch events. An action may be determined based at least on the first touch event set. Accordingly, the first touch event set may be disambiguated from other touch interactions and an associated action may be selected from a broader set of possible actions.

摘要: A method of displaying icons in a graphical user interface displayed on a touch screen of a portable electronic device. The method includes associating, with an electronic processor of the portable electronic device, a first subset of icons of a plurality of icons with a first selected gesture. The first selected gesture has a first shape. The method further includes detecting, with the touch screen and the electronic processor of the portable electronic device, whether the first selected gesture is made on the touch screen. The method further includes displaying, with the touch screen of the portable electronic device, the first subset of icons on the touch screen when the first selected gesture is detected.

摘要: A dual watch subscriber unit (SU) in a wireless communication system transmits short data during an active call in response to a request to transmit short data. The SU transmits, via a transceiver at the SU, pending short data on an inbound data channel of an inbound traffic frequency. One of prior to or after transmitting the short data, the SU substantially simultaneously receives: via a first receiver of the transceiver, missed communication media of the active call missed during transmitting of the pending short data on a first outbound channel of a first outbound traffic frequency; and via a second receiver of the transceiver, second communication media of the active call, transmitted prior to or after the missed communication media of the active call, on a second outbound channel of a second outbound traffic frequency. The SU then plays back media from the missed and second communication media.

摘要: A process and system for managing incoming video emergency calls (VECs) at a command center relative to an incident includes receiving first and second VECs from respective first and second recording and transmitting devices reflecting a first incident. Identifying the second VEC as a preferred one of the first and second VECs based on one or both of a quality and a field-of-view between the first and second VECs, and responsively causing the identified second VEC to be forwarded to a first live call taker and the first VEC to a VEC monitoring bot configured to continue to monitor video content of the first VEC and refrain from forwarding the first VEC to the first live call taker. The first VEC may be forwarded to the first live call taker at a lower relative resolution.
