摘要: In one aspect, a method to ensure a submitter of an anonymous tip remains anonymous is provided. An anonymous tip may be received from a tip submitter at an electronic tip submission system. Natural language processing may be applied to extract at least one token from the anonymous tip. At least one query may be created based on the extracted at least one token. The at least one query may be executed against one or more databases storing data associated with the at least one token. A number of possible tip submitters may be determined based on the results of the at least one query. Anonymization techniques may be applied to the anonymous tip when the number of possible tip submitters is less than or equal to a defined threshold. The anonymous tip may be submitted when the number of possible tip submitters exceeds the defined threshold.

摘要: Methods and systems for generating time-synchronized audio messages of different content in a talkgroup. One system includes an electronic computing device that includes an electronic processor configured to generate first public safety incident information as a function of context information of a first member of a talkgroup, and second public safety incident information as a function of context information of a second member of the talkgroup. The second public safety incident information is different than the first public safety incident information. The electronic processor is further configured to generate a first audio message including the first public safety incident information sized according to a time window and a second audio message including the second public safety incident information sized according to the time window such that a playback time of the first audio message is approximately the same as a playback time of the second audio message.

摘要: A method of displaying icons in a graphical user interface displayed on a touch screen of a portable electronic device. The method includes associating, with an electronic processor of the portable electronic device, a first subset of icons of a plurality of icons with a first selected gesture. The first selected gesture has a first shape. The method further includes detecting, with the touch screen and the electronic processor of the portable electronic device, whether the first selected gesture is made on the touch screen. The method further includes displaying, with the touch screen of the portable electronic device, the first subset of icons on the touch screen when the first selected gesture is detected.

摘要: A wireless communication system (200) for providing two-way radio communication includes a base station (340) comprising a receiver (352) and a transmitter (354). The receiver receives transmissions from a first mobile communication unit (210) on a first frequency, assigned for reception. The transmitter transmits on a second frequency, assigned for transmission. The base station (340) is operable to receive a preemption call from a second mobile communication unit (220) on the first frequency, when the first frequency is not in use for reception and the second frequency is in use for transmission. Otherwise the base station (340) receives a preemption call on the second frequency. The base station (340) may comprise a second receiver (344), operable to receive the preemption call on the second frequency during a planned interruption to transmissions from the transmitter (354). Alternatively, the receiver (352) may receive the preemption call on the second frequency, during the transmission interruption.

摘要: An electronic device and method for generating an augmented image. The device includes an image sensor and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to receive an image, retrieve a set of keywords, and identify a first set of features within the image corresponding to at least one keyword from the set of keywords, producing first metadata. The electronic processor is configured to compress the image, identify a second set of features within the compressed image, producing second metadata, and determine missing metadata between the first metadata and the second metadata. The electronic processor is configured to generate an augmented image by associating the missing metadata to the compressed image and perform at least one selected from the group consisting of transmitting the augmented image to another device and decompressing the augmented image to create a decompressed image and presenting the decompressed image including the missing metadata.

摘要: An emergency answering center and a method of handling a distributed denial of service attack on an emergency answering center are provided. The emergency answering center receives an emergency call from a current caller. The emergency answering center determines websites visited by the current caller prior to calling the emergency answering center. If the number of calls received at the emergency answering center within a predetermined time period exceeds a predetermined threshold, the emergency answering center compares the websites visited by the current caller prior to calling the emergency answering center to a list of websites visited by other callers within the predetermined time period. If the websites visited by the current caller match at least a subset of the list of websites visited by other callers within the predetermined time period, the emergency answering center processes the emergency call in an alternate manner that is different from the regular manner of processing emergency calls.

摘要: Methods and systems for providing supplementary information on a virtual whiteboard. One system includes an electronic computing device including a display and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the display. The electronic processor is configured to generate a virtual whiteboard on the display and receive an input via the display. The input illustrates a site of an incident. The electronic processor is further configured to identify the site of the incident. The electronic processor is further configured to generate supplementary information about the site of the incident as a function of context information associated with the incident. The electronic processor is further configured to display, on the virtual whiteboard on the display, the supplementary information.

摘要: A process for fixed camera and unmanned mobile device collaboration is disclosed in order to improve identification of an object of interest. A first point of view (POV) of a captured object is obtained and it is determined, with a first level of certainty, that the captured first POV of the object matches a stored object of interest. Then one or more camera-equipped unmanned mobile vehicles are identified in a determined direction of travel of the first captured object, and a dispatch instruction and intercept information is then transmitted to the one or more camera-equipped unmanned mobile vehicles. Subsequently, a captured second POV of the first captured object is received via the one or more camera-equipped unmanned mobile vehicles. The captured second POV of the captured object is used to determine, with a second level of certainty, that the captured object matches the stored object of interest.
