    摘要: An optical information recording apparatus optically records digital information on a recording medium, for example, a disc, a tape and so on. The area of an optical spot cannot be made smaller than a minimum area determined by a numerical aperture of an objective lens and the wave length of a reproducing beam. Consequently, this causes a problem that the code of digital signals often fails to be discriminated in reproducing short pits and/or short pit-intervals which are recorded on the recording medium. The apparatus detects a phase difference between each edge of an input digital signal and each corresponding edge of a digital signal reproduced from the recording medium. The edges of a next input digital signal of the same code construction as that of the first input signal are corrected by a correction amount according to the above phase difference, and such operations are repeated whenever input digital signals are inputted. Consequently the apparatus can decrease errors of code discrimination to minimum and achieve high edge correction. Furthermore, since the input digital signal is delayed by a time interval between the recording by the recording head and the reproducing by the reproducing head, edge correction can be achieved with high precision.

    摘要: A clogging detector used for a VTR to check the recording state of a recording head without using the reproducing head. A test signal of a lower frequency than the erasing frequency is recorded before and after an information signal by means of an erasing head. Before and after recording the information signal by means of the recording head, the test signal is reproduced, the reproduction output is detected by a detecting circuit, and the level of the output is compared with a preset level by a comparing circuit. When the level is lower than the preset level, a warming is issued from a warming circuit, thus preventing a recording failure due to the clogging of the head.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an optical information reproducing apparatus having a phase difference tracking system which is free from an influence of a tangential phase difference of output signals from a photodetector. The photodetector comprises first through fourth photocells which are respectively disposed at first through fourth quadrants defined by a first straight line parallel to an information track image and a second straight line perpendicular to the first straight line. Output signals of the first and second photocells are delayed for a specified time by respective first and second delaying circuits. Output signals of the first delaying circuit and the third photocell are added by a first adder, and output signals of the second delaying circuit and the fourth photocell are added by a second adder. A phase comparator produces a tracking error signal from a phase difference between output signals of the first and second adders. Alternatively, a first phase comparator produces a phase difference between the output signals of the first and second photocells, and/or a second comparator produces a phase difference between the output signals of the third and fourth photocells. At least one of output signals of the first and second comparator is used for producing a tracking error signal.

    摘要: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is provided in which among diametrically oppositely disposed heads, a recording head and an erasing head of a same channel are disposed adjacently to each other. The recording head is disposed so as to precede by two tracks the erasing head with respect to a direction of cylinder rotation, when insert-editing, using a reproduced signal obtained by the recording head, erase and record timing setting and head tracking are performed and an erasing current is not applied during the reproduction by the recording head. The reproducing heads are disposed so as to be angularly apart by about 90 degrees from the recording and erasing heads, and a rotary transformer for reproduction is applied with a shield measure and then, formed as a core independently at an upper portion of the cylinder. In addition, more narrow tracks are compatibly reproduced by the recording head.

    摘要: An optical information read apparatus for optically reading information recorded on a recording medium includes an optical head for producing two detected signals whose phases vary according to a tracking error of the head, and a tracking error detecting circuit for producing a tracking error signal corresponding to a phase difference between the two detected signals, and a tracking controller for controlling the optical head in response to the tracking error signal. The tracking error detecting circuit has a correlation test circuit for checking a correlation between the states of the two detected signals, and for making the tracking error signal substantially invalid when there is no correlation between the states of the two detected signals. Thus, a stable tracking control can be performed.
