    摘要: An electronic display containing a light source and a color filter set, the color filter set comprising: a green color filter having a green filter layer comprising a first pigment having its maximum absorption at a wavelength from 600 to 700 nm wherein at least 90 volume percent of the first pigment particles have a particle size less than 300 nm, and a second pigment having its maximum absorption at a wavelength from 400 to 500 nm wherein at least 90 volume percent of the second pigment particles have a particle size less than 300 nm, and wherein the green filter layer has a transmittance of 60% or more at a wavelength of 520 nm and of no more than 10% at a wavelength of 480 nm and of no more than 10% at a wavelength of 590 nm; a blue color filter having a blue filter layer; a red color filter having a red filter layer; and wherein the color gamut defined by the electronic display has a % NTSCx,y ratio greater than 88%.

    摘要: Imine dyes useful in photographic materials have the formula ##STR1## wherein D is selected from ##STR2## and wherein E.sup.1, E.sup.2, E.sup.3, and E.sup.4 each individually represents strongly electron-withdrawing groups; R.sup.1 and R.sup.6 each individually represents an alkyl group of 1 to about 8 carbon atoms, or an aralkyl or cycloalkyl group of 5 to about 10 carbon atoms, or an aryl group of 6 to about 14 carbon atoms; R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.11 each individually represents an alkyl group of 1 to about 8 carbon atoms, or an alkenyl group of 2 to about 8 carbon atoms, or an aryl, aralkyl, or cycloalkyl group of 5 to about 14 carbon atoms; or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 individually represent the non-metallic atoms necessary to form a 5- or 6-membered fused ring with the phenyl ring to which the nitrogen is attached, or together represent the non-metallic atoms required to form a 5- or 6-membered ring with each other; R.sup.4, R.sup.7, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, and R.sup.10 each individually represents hydrogen, or an alkyl , aralkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, or alkylthio group of 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; R.sup.5 represents an alkyl group of 1 to about 8 carbon atoms, or an aralkyl or cycloalkyl group of 5 to about 10 carbon atoms; R.sup.12 represents cyano, or an aryl, aminocarbonyl, or alkoxycarbonyl group of 2 to about 8 carbon atoms, or an alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, or sulfamoyl group of 1 to about 8 carbon atoms; or R.sup.11 and R.sup.12 together represent the non-metallic atoms necessary to complete a substituted or unsubstituted ring system containing at least one 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic or unsaturated alicyclic nucleus; G represents O or C(CN).sub.2 ; Y and Z each individually represents the non-metallic atoms necessary to complete a substituted or unsubstituted ring system containing at least one 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic nucleus; M.sup.+ is a cation; L.sup.1 through L.sup.6 each individually represents unsubstituted or substituted methine groups; m is 0, 1, 2, or 3; n is 0 or 1; p is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4; q is 0, 1, 2, or 3; and r is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.Solid particle dispersions of dyes of formula (I) that contain at least one base-ionizable functional group such as carboxy, sulfonamido, or sulfamoyl are useful as filter dyes in photographic elements.

    摘要: Solid particle dispersions of dyes according to the formula: ##STR1## wherein D is selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## and ketomethylene nuclei are disclosed as filter dyes for photographic elements.In this formula, E.sup.1 and E.sup.2 are each independently electron withdrawing groups R.sup.1 and R.sup.6 are each independently R or NHR, where R is substituted or unsubstituted aryl. R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or represent the carbon atoms necessary to form a fused ring with the phenyl ring to which the N atom is attached. R.sup.4 and R.sup.7 are each independently hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted aryl. R.sup.5 is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl Z represents the atoms necessary to complete a substituted or unsubstituted 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic nucleus. M.sup.+ is a cation. L.sup.1 through L.sup.7 are each independently substituted or unsubstituted methine groups. m is 0, 1, 2, or 3. n is 0 or 1. p is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. q is 0, 1, 2, or 3. At least one of R.sup.1 or D includes an aryl ring substituted with a carboxy or sulfonamido substituent.
