Abstract: There are provided a color correction filter for a white organic electroluminescent light source including a resin and 0.1 part by mass or more of a coloring agent having an absorption maximum wavelength in a range of 560 to 620 nm or 460 to 520 nm with respect to 100 parts by mass of the resin, and having a moisture content of 0.5% by mass or less, and an organic EL display device having this filter.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole compounds containing benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazolylyl groups, carbazolyl groups, dibenzofurane groups, dibenzothiophene groups, fluorenyl groups and/or dibenzosilolyl groups. Also disclosed herein are organic electronic devices containing the benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole compound(s), a charge transport layer, charge blocking layer/exciton blocking layer, or an emitting layer containing the benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole compound(s), as well as apparatuses selected from stationary visual display units, mobile visual display units, illumination units, keyboards, items of clothing, furniture, or wallpaper, containing the organic electronic device, or the charge transport layer, the charge/exciton blocking layer, or the emitting layer. Also disclosed herein is the use of the benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole compound(s) for organic electroluminescent devices, electrophotographic photoreceptors, photoelectric converters, organic solar cells, switching elements, organic light emitting field effect transistors, image sensors or dye lasers, and processes for preparing benzimidazolo[1,2-a]benzimidazole compounds.

Abstract: Embodiments of a display device including barrier layer coated quantum dots and a method of making the barrier layer coated quantum dots are described. Each of the barrier layer coated quantum dots includes a core-shell structure and a hydrophobic barrier layer disposed on the core-shell structure. The hydrophobic barrier layer is configured to provide a distance between the core-shell structure of one of the quantum dots with the core-shell structures of other quantum dots that are in substantial contact with the one of the quantum dots. The method for making the barrier layer coated quantum dots includes forming reverse micro-micelles using surfactants and incorporating quantum dots into the reverse micro-micelles. The method further includes individually coating the incorporated quantum dots with a barrier layer and isolating the barrier layer coated quantum dots with the surfactants of the reverse micro-micelles disposed on the barrier layer.
