    摘要: A combined terminal fitting assembly is provided to fix ends of three or more wires to one fixing place. Engaging portions (25, 26, 34, 35) for holding a right terminal fitting (TR) and a left terminal fitting (TL) assembled are provided on both upper and lower surfaces of terminal main bodies. Thus, the right terminal fittings (TR) and the left terminal fittings (TL) can be placed alternately one over another. As a result three or more wires (W) can be fixed to one fixing place. Upon assembling, the wire (W) of the right terminal fitting (TR) and the wire (W) of the left terminal fitting (TL) are brought gradually closer to each other from most distant positions. Thus, the left and right wires (W) neither overlap nor interfere with each other.

    摘要: A conductive path (11) is exposed on an upper surface of an FFC (10). At the rear end of the terminal fitting (20), a wavy bottom plate (22) and a wavy ceiling plate (23) confront each other such that the ceiling plate (23) can be opened and closed relative to the bottom plate (22). A piercing piece (35) whose front end is sharp is formed at the rear end of the ceiling plate (23) in about the half of the entire width of the rear end thereof by bending the piercing piece (35) perpendicularly. The terminal of the FFC 10 is sandwiched between the bottom plate (22) and the ceiling plate (23), and both crimping blades (26) are crimped to side edges of the ceiling plate (23). As a result, the conductive path (11) is bent wavily, the ceiling plate (23) contacts the conductive path (11), and the piercing piece (35) is pierced into the conductive path (11) and projects from the lower surface thereof. The FFC (10) is sandwiched the bottom plate (22) and the ceiling plate (23). The piercing piece (35) having a width in a direction perpendicular to a tensile force applied to the FFC (10) is pierced into the conductive path (11), thus providing a strong catching force and a holding force in resistance to the tensile force.

    摘要: A terminal fitting (20) is provided for an FFC (10). The FFC (10) includes a conductive path (11) that has upper and lower surfaces covered with an insulation sheet (12). The terminal fitting (20) includes bottom plate (22) with contact blades (25) erected on both side edges of the bottom plate (22). A ceiling plate (23) confronts the bottom plate (22) and can penetrate into the space between the opposed contact blades (25). When the ceiling plate (23) is closed, it moves downward, with both side surfaces thereof in sliding contact with an inner surface of each contact blade (25), while the ceiling plate (23) presses the terminal of the FFC (10) toward the bottom plate (22). Consequently, the contact blades (25) pierce through the terminal of the FFC (10). The contact blades (25) pierce into the conductive path (11) and the ceiling plate (23) prevents floating of the FFC (10). Thus, it is possible to allow a cut surface (11A) of the conductive path (11) located inward from the contact blades (25) to properly confront the inner surfaces of the contact blades (25).

    摘要: Terminal hardware for a flat-type conductor is provided which can provide a high contact pressure between the terminal hardware and the conductor and a superior holding power against a tension tending to separate the terminal hardware from the conductor. At a terminal end of the flat-type conductor, the conductor is exposed on an upper surface. A base plate is formed to extend from a rear end of the terminal hardware, and a top plate is provided so as to face the base plate and be capable of being opened and closed. A pair of crimping portions are provided at opposite side edges of a rear end of the base plate. Further, both the base plate and the top plate have undulating portions, respectively. The terminal end of the flat-type conductor is inserted between the base plate and the top plate. The pair of crimping portions pierces the insulation sheet of the flat-type conductor from one side toward the other. Then, the terminal end of the flat-type conductor is sandwiched between the base plate and the top plate from both of the upper and lower surfaces, and is compressed. At the same time, the pair of the crimping portions is crimped. Accordingly, a portion of the flat-type conductor where the conductor is provided is bent and sandwiched between the base plate and the top plate contacts the conductor.

The engaging portion (14) projects with a step from an upper wall (12) to ensure a large engaging area with the resin lock (13). An outer edge (14A) of the engaging portion (14) is closer to the resin lock (13) than an inner edge (14B) thereof. Thus, when the terminal fitting (1) is pulled back in withdrawing direction, a force acts to move the leading end of the resin lock (13) from the outer edge (14A) of the engaging portion (14) toward the inner edge (14B). Therefore, the terminal fitting (1) is difficult to disengage from the resin lock (13), and a large engaging force is secured.

    摘要: A terminal fitting (20) has a base plate (22) and a pressing plate (30) confronting the base plate (22). A side wall (23) is formed on one side edge of the base plate (22). A contact blade (25A) is projected on an upper edge (23A) of the side wall (23) such that the contact blade (25A) is widthwise flush with the side wall (23). A contact blade (25B) is erected on the other side edge of the base plate (22) such that the contact blade (25A) and the contact blade (25B) have the same height. On the bottom portion of the base plate (22), a raised part (27) is formed for a disposing position of each contact blade (25A) by folding the other side edge of the base plate (22). The height of the upper surface of the raised part (27) is a little larger than that of the upper edge (23A) of the side wall (23). Before the FFC (10) is caught by the upper edge (23A) of the side wall (23) of the base plate 22, the contact blades (25A) and (25B) are pierced into the conductive path (11), with the FFC (10) being sandwiched between the raised part (27) and the pressing plate (30). It is possible to avoid generation of a flank between the base plate (22) and the pressing plate (30) and thus prevent the FFC (10) from escaping thereto. Thus, it is possible to allow a cut surface (11A) of the conductive path (11) to confront the surfaces of the contact blades (25A) and (25B) properly and obtain a preferable contact state.

If the metal terminal is not inserted into the proper position, a resilient retaining pawl of the second withdrawal prevention device engages an engagement portion of the metal terminal to be prevented from resilient deformation when the housing and the shield cover are to be connected together. As a result, the shield cover engages an engagement projection of the resilient retaining pawl, so that the housing and the shield cover cannot be connected together.
