    摘要: A compressor has a swash plate located in a crank chamber and tiltably mounted on a drive shaft. A piston is operably coupled to the swash plate and is located in a cylinder bore. The inclination of the swash plate is varied according to the difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The compressor has a supply passage for connecting a discharge chamber with the crank chamber. A control valve is located in the supply passage for adjusting the amount of the gas introduced into the crank chamber from the discharge chamber through the supply passage. The control valve includes a valve body and a solenoid selectively excited and de-excited based on a supply of electric current from a driver to actuate the valve body. The solenoid generates a counter-electromotive force based on the self-inductance of the solenoid when the solenoid is de-excited. A protector, such as a diode, is connected in parallel with the solenoid. The protector passes the current based on the counter-electromotive force therethrough to prevent the current based on the counter-electromotive force from being supplied to the driver.

    摘要: An automobile moves at a traveling speed in accordance with the position of an acceleration pedal. A compressor is driven by the engine of the automobile. The discharge displacement of the compressor is adjusted by an external control procedure. When the position of the acceleration pedal reaches a determining value, or above at which it is determined that engine power is needed for accelerating the vehicle, the compressor is controlled such that the discharge displacement decreases. The determining value is selected by a controller in relation to the traveling speed detected by a speed sensor. The determining value increases as the speed increases.

    摘要: A swash plate is arranged to tilt between a maximum inclining angle and a minimum inclining angle based on differential pressure between a crank chamber and a suction chamber. At least one single-headed piston, that is coupled to the swash plate, is disposed in an associated cylinder bore and reciprocates at a stroke according to the inclining angle of the swash plate to compress refrigerant gas introduced to the cylinder bore from an external refrigerant circuit via the suction chamber. A pressure supply passage connects a discharge chamber with the crank chamber to supply the refrigerant gas from the discharge chamber into the crank chamber so as to increase the pressure in the crank chamber and a flow passage which allows flow of the refrigerant gas from the crank chamber to the suction chamber. An introducing passage introduces the refrigerant gas with low temperature from the external refrigerant circuit to substantially equalize the pressures in the crank chamber and the suction chamber. Movable elements selectively open and close the introducing passage in association with the maximum inclining angle and minimum inclining angle of the swash plate.

A disconnecting element is disposed between the external circuit and the suction chamber to disconnect the external circuit with the suction chamber in association with the swash plate driven to the minimum inclining angle.

    摘要: In a housing 1, 2, a rotor 11 is secured to a drive shaft 6 and a sleeve 12 is supported movably. A rotary swash plate 14 is tiltably supported on the sleeve 12 and is coupled to the rotor 11. Coupled to the rotary swash plate 14 are pistons 8 which move in the respective bores 9. A fluid is supplied to each bore 9 from a suction chamber 20, and a fluid compressed by each piston 8 is discharged to a discharge chamber 21. A control valve 25 controls the difference between the pressure in the suction chamber 20 and the pressure in a crank chamber 5 to change the inclination angle of the rotary swash plate 14, so that the discharge displacement of a compressor becomes variable. In the housing 1, a spool 32 is movably provided while enclosing the drive shaft 6. With the spool 32 entered in the crank chamber 5, when the sleeve 12 engages with the spool 32, the movement of the rotary swash plate 14 is restricted to the position that sets the discharge displacement of the discharge chamber 21 to a predetermined restricted displacement. By supplying the pressure in the discharge chamber 21 via a pressure supply passage 35 to retract the spool 32 from the crank chamber 5, the rotary swash plate 14 is permitted to move to the position where the discharge displacement to the discharge chamber 21 becomes zero.
