    摘要: An embroidery frame for a sewing machine with an embroidering function to hold workpiece cloth for execution of the embroidering function is disclosed. The embroidery frame includes a lower frame receiving a lower side of the cloth, an upper frame clamping the cloth in cooperation with the lower frame therebetween, and a clamping mechanism pressing the upper frame against the lower frame, thereby holding the upper frame. The clamping mechanism includes a coupling member coupling the upper frame to the lower frame so that the upper frame is vertically swingable between a holding position and an opening position, a locking mechanism locking the upper frame at the holding position, an unlocking mechanism unlocking the upper frame, and a frame-opening biasing member biasing the upper frame so that the upper frame is displaced to the opening position when unlocked by the unlocking mechanism.

The hook member has a threading hook and performs a first rocking switching the hook member from a standby position where the threading hook is not threaded to an operating position, based on action of an operating force upon rotation of the pivot arm. The hook member further performs a sliding movement in which the hook member is slid from the operating position together with the pivot arm and the moving member to thread the thread guide and a second rocking in which the hook member is rocked to be returned to the standby position after having threaded the thread guide.

The clamp mechanism includes a pair of screw attachment sections facing each other at both ends of the continuity-breaking section of the outer frame, an adjustment screw attached across the screw attachment sections for adjusting a space between the screw attachment sections, an operation shaft for rotating the adjustment screw that moves in a range from a first position at which the operation shaft is directed in an axial direction same as or different from the adjustment screw, and a second position at which the operation shaft is tilted in a direction increasing a space with the outer subframe, and a coupling mechanism for coupling together the operation shaft and the adjustment screw, and transferring a torque of the operation shaft to the adjustment screw.
