摘要: A facsimile apparatus incorporating a cordless telephone set includes a base unit transmitting and receiving a signal to and from a remote unit with a radio signal, and a facsimile communication device. During voice communication with the remote unit via a telephone line, an alarm is issued to the user when the voice communication continues for more than a predetermined time period. An alarm is also given to the user of internal line voice communication when there is a telephone call from an external line during voice communication between the base unit and the remote unit. Therefore, the reception of a reception signal to the facsimile apparatus is not inhibited because an alarm is issued when voice communication continues for more than a predetermined time period and when there is a telephone call from an external line during internal line voice communication.

摘要: The paper feeding device comprises a drive source having a shaft rotatable in forward or reverse direction and a drive gear mounted fixedly to the shaft, a sun gear engaging with the drive gear and being rotatable around a supporting point, first and second planetary arms mounted rotatably to the supporting point of the sun gear, respectively, first and second planetary gears engaging with the sun gear and attached rotatably to the first and second planetary arms, respectively, and arm lock mechanism for positioning and fixing the first and second planetary arms, respectively. The rotation of the shaft of the drive source is transmitted through the first planetary gear to an original feeding roller in the transmission mode and to a platen roller in the reception mode. The driving force is transmitted to the original feeding roller via the second planetary gear and to the platen roller via the first planetary gear in the copy mode.

摘要: A facsimile apparatus incorporating a cordless telephone function includes a base unit for receiving and transmitting a signal to and from a remote unit via a radio signal, and a facsimile communication device. A reception signal detecting device within a NCU first makes the determination whether the reception signal transmitted through the telephone line includes a CNG signal representing facsimile communication. When determination is made that the reception signal includes a CNG signal, the telephone line is connected to the facsimile apparatus. When determination is made that a CNG signal is not included, the telephone line is connected to the base unit. According to the type of reception signal from the telephone line, the telephone line is connected to the facsimile apparatus or the cordless telephone set.

摘要: A communication apparatus performs a maintenance operation in a short period of time, without using a communication apparatus which includes a special communication protocol on a maintenance side. In a facsimile machine 24, upon receipt of a DTMF signal on a communication line 1, the DTMF signal is supplied to a modem 8 through a relay 3 and a transformer T1. This is done such that the modem 8 converts the received DTMF signal into a code signal such as 1 to 0, * and # and supplies the code signal to a CPU 16 through a data bus, formed by a gate array 11 and a main gate array 23. The CPU 16 stores the code in a temporary storage RAM 19, digit by digit. In the meantime, when it is determined that the code signal is "96#," from a RAM 17, the CPU 16 reads a functional parameter associated with the number of a soft switch which is temporarily stored in the RAM 19. Among data regarding the soft switch, the CPU 16 changes data which are associated with a data number which is temporarily stored in the RAM 19 into a changed value which is also temporarily stored in the RAM 19 and writes the changed value in the RAM 17 again.

摘要: When a number of exothermic elements arranged linearly are used for printing, driving data are inputted to the gate circuits of each exothermic element, and the gate circuits are controlled by the strobe signals in the conducting/nonconducting state. The circuit gates are divided into groups and the strobe signals different for each group are inputted in sequence. At printing, when there is the group having a relatively small number or no exothermic elements being heated and driven, and the strobe signal is given to each group successively for any groups, the necessary driving time may be wasted. The operating speed many be improved if a plurality of strobe signals are outputted in parallel when the number of exothermic elements being heated and driven is relatively small, and if the corresponding strobe signals are stopped when there is no exothermic element, and outputting the next strobe signals immediately in both cases.
