摘要: A data unit (e.g., a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU)) is detected at a first wireless device that is a member of a basic service set (BSS). The data unit was sent on a channel from a second wireless device that is a member of an overlapping basic service set (OBSS). When the first wireless device ignores the data unit and obtains a transmit opportunity for the channel according to a spatial reuse procedure, then the first wireless device is prohibited from transmitting a frame to a device that is a member of the OBSS during the time interval associated with the transmit opportunity.

摘要: A method and apparatus for supporting A-MSDU data transfer in an A-MPDU system includes sending capability information from a first network device, receiving onto the first network device an A-MPDU frame that includes A-MSDU data, and sending an acknowledgment from the first network device. A bit field in the capability information indicates if inclusion of A-MSDU data in an A-MPDU payload is supported. The first network device is a wireless station (STA). The first network device is part of a peer-to-peer network. The A-MSDU is in a data enabled immediate response context. A bit field in the capability information indicates if receiving an A-MPDU frame including A-MSDU data carried in a QoS Data frame without a block acknowledgment agreement is supported.

摘要: A method of data acknowledgement includes: transmitting data from a wireless station, transmitting a Block Acknowledgement Request (BAR) from the wireless station, and receiving a Block Acknowledgement (BA) by the wireless station. In one example, the step of transmitting BAR by the wireless station requests an acknowledgment for transmitted data with an access category that has the same priority as the a primary access category. In another example, the step of transmitting BAR by the wireless station requests an acknowledgment for transmitted data with an access category that has the same or higher priority than a primary access category. A wireless device includes at least one transceiver to exchange data with another wireless device, at least one processor, and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to: transmit data, transmit a Block Acknowledgement Request (BAR), and receive a Block Acknowledgement (BA).

摘要: A method of managing BSS network loading is proposed. An access point (AP) transmits BSS session time and data limit element in beacon or probe response frame or a response frame to a service request frame. The AP determines the session time and data limit according to the network load and AP resourced. The AP adjusts the session time and data limit dynamically. An STA decides whether to join a specific BSS based on the BSS session time and the BSS session data limit. AP encourages or discourages the STA to join the BSS by increasing or reducing the session time and data limit. The per-AP loading will be distributed according to AP's capabilities.

摘要: A method for a multiple BSSID environment in a wireless location area network (WLAN) is proposed. A first wireless device obtains basic service set (BSS) information of a plurality of BSSs. The first wireless device then sends a fine time measurement (FTM) frame containing the BSS information to a second wireless device. The second wireless device joins at least one of the BSS according to the BSS information.

摘要: A method for managing transmitting power of communications devices equipped with multiple antennas. The method enables a first antenna configuration of the plurality of antennas in accordance with a first pre-determined rule. The method transmits a first message to a peer communications device, wherein the first message comprises at least a power management profile of the communications device transmitting the first message. The method receives a second message comprising at least information pertinent to a power management profile of the peer communications device receiving the first message and signal integrity information determined by the peer communications device from the received first message. Finally, the method activates a second antenna configuration of the plurality of antennas by using the signal integrity information in accordance with a second pre-determined rule.

摘要: A method of enhanced beamforming procedure to achieve spatial reuse and thereby improving cell edge performance and area throughput is proposed. The enhanced beamforming method increases the likelihood of channel access under dense deployment condition, reduces interference to OBSS, reduces collision during reception, and increases the likelihood of spatial reuse in dense deployment scenario thus leading to higher network throughput.

摘要: The disclosed invention provides an efficient method for beam training to enable spatial multiplexing MIMO operation and spatial combining in a wireless network. The invention discloses a simple and efficient beam-training algorithm and protocol for MIMO operation that operates in high SNR condition for reliable MIMO operation. In one novel aspect, the best MIMO beam combinations are determined after TX sector sweeping and RX sector sweeping. In addition, the selection criteria includes not only signal quality, but also considers mutual interference and leakage among multiple MIMO spatial streams to improve overall MIMO performance.

摘要: A method of discovering relay agent in a wireless communications system is provided. A wireless station first sends a relay solicitation frame to query availability of relay agent. The wireless station then receives one or more relay acknowledgement frames from one or more candidate relay agents in response to the relay solicitation frames. The wireless station determines a selected relay agent, and establishes a wireless link with the selected relay agent. The selected relay agent performs data forwarding between the station and an access point. The method allows a wireless station to initiate the relay agent discovery process by soliciting a specific relay agent or broadcasting a request to all potential relay agents. The selected relay agent can be determined with minimum power and based on link quality associated with the relay agent and specific requirement of the wireless station.
