摘要： A lever-style de-latch mechanism for a pluggable electronic module, such as an SFP MSA fiber optic transceiver or other pluggable optoelectronic or electronic module. The mechanism is easily accessible to an operator and does not require any tools to operate. The mechanism uses rotational motion of a lever about a horizontal axis transverse to a horizontal direction of elongation of a module, or about a vertical axis (relative to a module extending in a horizontal plane), to cause translational motion of the de-latch actuator. Mechanisms including both T and bail latch style levers are provided. The lever may be adjacent to, or extend beyond, the front/face of the module's housing for tool-free accessibility and operation. The mechanism may allow the user to apply force to actuate the mechanism in a direction that does not oppose a withdrawal and/or module ejection force.

摘要： The preferred embodiment of this disclosure is directed to an antenna connector for a cellular telephone, where such antenna may be rotated from a first position to a second position, such as "use" and "rest" positions, where the preferred rotation extent is about 90.degree.. The connector comprises a fixed support member and a circular housing member mounted therein for rotative movement between such first and second positions. The fixed support member is defined by first and second major faces having a circular opening extending therebetween for receiving the circular housing member, and at least one arcuate recess along the first major face adjacent said opening, where the length thereof extends between the first and second positions. The circular housing member includes a reduced diameter portion extending from one end thereof to an annular shoulder, where the reduced diameter portion is received within the circular opening up to the shoulder. Finally, a spring metal ring is provided to retain the circular housing within the fixed support, where the ring is located about the reduced diameter portion for abutting against the second major face, and the ring is further characterized as being sinusoidal in configuration and adapted to maintain axial pressure between the fixed support and the circular housing member.

摘要： An electrical connector assembly includes a cage having a front end and an internal compartment. The front end is open to the internal compartment of the cage. The internal compartment is configured to receive a pluggable module therein through the front end. An electromagnetic interference (EMI) gasket is mounted to the front end of the cage such that the EMI gasket is engaged with an electrically connected to the cage. The EMI gasket includes electrically conductive springs that are configured to engage and electrically connect to the pluggable module when the pluggable module is received within the internal compartment of the cage. The EMI gasket including a flange. A bracket is mounted to the front end of the cage such that the bracket extends at least partially around the EMI gasket. The bracket having a wall that is engaged with the flange of the EMI gasket for holding the EMI gasket on the front end of the cage.

摘要： A latch assembly for a pluggable electronic module matable with a receptacle assembly includes a lever actuatable between a latched position and an unlatched position, a yoke assembly operatively coupled to the lever, and a latch element coupled to the latch end of the yoke assembly. The yoke assembly has a latch end rotatable between a latched position and an unlatched position. The latch element is movable between an engaged position and an unengaged position as the latch end is rotated between the latched and unlatched positions, respectively. The latch element is configured to engage the receptacle assembly to lock the pluggable electronic module within the receptacle assembly when the latch element is in the engaged position.

An energy transfer element, which is held by the housing, is positioned to directly engage the electrical module. The transfer element absorbs thermal energy produced by the electrical module. The receptacle assembly also includes a heat sink that is remotely located from the transfer element. A thermally conductive member extends between the heat sink and the transfer element to convey thermal energy therebetween.

摘要： An electrical connector is provided having a connector housing with signal modules and grounding members therein. Each of the signal modules has a ground plane on at least one side of each of the signal modules. The ground planes have contact pads formed at opposite ends thereof proximate mating ends of the signal modules. The grounding members interconnect the ground planes on the sides of adjacent signal modules to one another at a point along one of the ground planes and the contact pads. Optionally, the signal modules may include vias having conductive liners therethrough that electrically connect ground planes from opposite sides of a signal module to one another. Alternatively, the signal modules can be printed circuit boards. The signal modules may be arranged parallel to one another within the housing.
