Abstract: A data management system is provided with: a storage unit for storing examination information including at least an examination item, an examination location, a consultation location, and a required examination time, the examination item including examination names of a plurality of examinations; an acquisition unit for acquiring patient information relating to severity and an identifier for identifying the patient to be examined; a calculation unit for calculating, in accordance with the patient, the necessary travel time for traveling from the examination location or consultation location at which a completed examination or consultation was performed to the next examination location or consultation location at which the next examination or consultation subsequent to the examination or consultation is to be performed, based on the patient information and the examination information; and a generating unit for generating a patient examination schedule based on the examination information, the patient information, and the travel time.

Abstract: A living body determination device includes: a light irradiation device that irradiates a measuring object with a first light including a plurality of spectrums; a spectroscopic device that disperses a light at intensity depending on a wavelength and outputs the light; an image acquisition device that receives the light output by the spectroscopic device and outputs image information representing brightness depending on the intensity of the light; and a control unit. The control unit, for each spectrum of the first light, acquires image information with respect to the measuring object from the image acquisition device, based on the image information, selects one or more areas, for each of the areas, acquires spectroscopic information, and based on whether the spectroscopic information satisfies a predetermined condition, determines whether the measuring object is a living body.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sphygmomanometer that has a high level of measurement accuracy and places a low burden upon a subject whose systolic pressure is being measured. To this end, the sphygmomanometer according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit that detects cuff pressure and pulse waves; and a blood pressure calculating unit that divides pulse waves detected by the cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit into a plurality of sections within a specific period, and calculates an estimated value for systolic pressure on the basis of fluctuations in the symmetry of the pulse wave waveform in the plurality of sections, said fluctuations occurring along with variations in the cuff pressure detected by the cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit.

Abstract: [Object]To obtain interference light having a stronger light intensity, and to more accurately measure a refractive index of a measured object, with a simplified configuration.[Solution Means]A light measurement device 100 includes a phase adjustment unit 120 and a detector 140. The phase adjustment unit 120 outputs reference light E(R) based on object light E1 being light to be obtained by transmission or reflection of light E from a light source with respect to a measured object 200, and signal light E(S) whose phase is adjusted to be different from a phase of signal light. The detector 140 derives a transmission or reflection light intensity distribution or a refractive index of the measured object 200, based on interference light E2 between signal light E(S) and reference light E(R) to be output by the phase adjustment unit 120. An optical axis of light E from a light source is linearly disposed. The phase adjustment unit 120 and the detector 140 are disposed on the optical axis of light E from a light source.

Abstract: A biometric authentication apparatus 10 according to the present invention can be installed in facilities such as airports in order to improve the reliability of biometric authentication to ensure a high level of security. The biometric authentication apparatus 10 includes a illumination unit 11 which irradiates a human finger with light; an image acquisition unit 13 which acquires a plurality of images indicating changes in luminance by receiving light scattered at the human finger that is a part of the light with which the human finger is irradiated by the illumination unit 11 and converting the received light to luminance information according to the intensity of the light; an image-to-biometric-information conversion unit 14 which converts the plurality of images acquired by the image acquisition unit 13 to biometric information indicating a pulse wave in the human finger; and a biometric authentication unit 16 which performs biometric authentication when a pulse wave signal which is the biometric information resulting from the conversion by the image-to-biometric-information conversion unit 14 is greater than a predetermined threshold.
