Abstract: Method comprising: ⋅selecting a subset of one or more beam pairs among a set of beam pairs via which a terminal and a base station are associated, wherein for each of the beam pairs of the subset, a suitability of the respective beam pair is better than a suitability threshold; for each of the beam pairs of the subset: ⋅⋅determining a respective set of at least two tones; ⋅⋅performing a respective relative phase measurement based on the respective virtual wavelength to obtain a respective virtual phase difference; and at least one of ⋅∘reporting the respective set of at least two tones and the respective virtual phase difference to the base station; and ⋅∘estimating a respective distance between the terminal and a transmission reception point of the base station emitting the respective beam pair based on the respective virtual phase difference and the preliminary uncertainty region.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for control channel monitoring. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes receiving, at the user equipment, an indication of a codepoint activation, wherein the codepoint activation indicates that a transmission configuration indicator state being activated is associated with a second physical cell identifier different from a first physical cell identifier of a serving cell of the user equipment; and in response to the transmission configuration indicator state being activated in association with the second physical cell identifier, suspending control channel monitoring of at least one set of core resources associated with the first physical cell identifier of the serving cell of the user equipment. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

Abstract: The specification and drawings present methods and apparatuses for feedback signaling for beamforming purposes in a multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) radio environment. According to an embodiment of the invention, a mobile device is configured to measure an integer number P of different beam groups, each group representing one or more transmit beams and each group corresponding to one or more antenna ports at the mobile device. The mobile device is triggered according to the configuration to provide feedback. The radio access node transmits reference signals on each of the transmit beams across all of the groups for measurement by the mobile device and receives the triggered feedback including, for each of the different beam groups, at least one best match between a transmit beam of the respective group and a corresponding antenna port and an indication of measurement results for the best match.

Abstract: When a time domain collision between Tracking Reference Signal (TRS) symbols and downlink shared data channel symbols is detected, the TRS symbols may be multiplexed with the downlink shared data channel symbols from multiple Transmission Reception Points (TRPs) not sharing quasi co-location (QCL) parameters with each other. If a time domain collision between TRS symbols and dynamically or semi-static (e.g., persistent) downlink shared data channel transmissions is detected, transmission and/or reception of the TRS and/or the downlink shared data channel may be adjusted.
