    Abstract: Certain example embodiments provide systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for control short control signal (SCS) in downlink. For example, certain embodiments may provide for a method examining whether a signal to be transmitted by a network element belongs to a first group or to another group based on a transmission time instance of the signal, a beam or beams of the signal, a beam index or beam indices of the signal and/or a type of the signal; determining an allowance of time or resources of a time period for one or more short control signals; determining whether to transmit the signal as one or more short control signals based on the group the signal belongs to and on the allowance; and transmitting the signal either as one or more short control signals, or as a signal subject to listen before talk procedure.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamic transmit diversity fallback are provided. One method may include configuring a user equipment with a maximum number of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers used for transmission mode 9 or transmission mode 10 scheduling, and performing, by a network node, at least one of transmission mode 9 or transmission mode 10 scheduling. The configuring may include indicating to the user equipment to use a modified mapping table providing transmit diversity fallback for the at least one of transmission mode 9 or transmission mode 10 scheduling.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for multi-slot physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring. A method may include determining that a search space relates to a subcarrier spacing and to multi-slot physical downlink control channel monitoring. The method may also include receiving a search space information element that defines a bitmap that defines a number of slots with monitoring occasions. The method may further include receiving a duration parameter that defines a length of a monitoring window. In addition, the method may include determining actual monitoring slots for each period of the monitoring window. Further, the method may include monitoring a physical downlink control channel corresponding to the search space based on the defined duration parameter.
