The purpose of the present invention is providing a supercharging system which uses both of a mechanism such as VN or the like and an electric motor generating an assist force while making the supercharger operate smoothly when the assist by the electric motor is stopped. The system controls the electric motor in a feedback manner so that enough assist force is generated (FIG. 2A and FIG. 2B) while controlling the VN in an open manner (FIG. 2D) until status of the supercharger reaches target status (time t1) when an accelerator requirement arises in a low revolution region. The control of the electric motor is changed to an open control, and the control of the VN is changed to a feedback control, respectively, at time t1. The open control of the electric motor is continued so that necessary complement torque occurs until time t2. After time t2, the system maintains the target status only by the feedback control of the VN.

The present invention discloses serum remnant-like lipoprotein concentration regulators containing triglyceride of medium-chain fatty acids, wherein 90% or more by weight of the fatty acids as components of the medium-chain triglyceride are saturated fatty acids having 8 and 10 carbon atoms; weight ratio between the saturated fatty acids having 8 carbon atoms and those having 10 carbon atoms is 60/40 to 85/15; and the proportion of the saturated fatty acids having 8 carbon atoms in all the fatty acids bonding to the second position of the triglyceride is 60 to 85 % by weight. The present invention also discloses foods for controlling the concentration of serum remnant-like lipoproteins and pharmaceutical compositions for controlling the concentration of serum remnant-like lipoproteins, which contain the serum remnant-like lipoprotein concentration regulator. The foods for controlling the concentration of serum remnant-like lipoproteins can be easily used without concerning about side effects and restrictive diet.

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine has a supercharger connected to an intake passage of the internal combustion engine and driven by a motor, a bypass passage which is provided for the intake passage in such a manner as to bypass the supercharger, flow amount adjustment device which arbitrarily adjusts a flow amount of air flowing through the bypass passage, and controller which controls the motor and the flow amount adjustment device. The flow amount adjustment device is electrically driven. The controller stops the supercharger from performing supercharging after driving the flow amount adjustment device and starting suction of air via the bypass passage.

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine in accordance with the invention includes a supercharger, a bypass passage, a flow amount adjustment device, an operational state detection portion, and a driving time determination portion. The supercharger is connected to an intake passage of an internal combustion engine and is driven by a motor. The bypass passage is provided for the intake passage in such a manner as to bypass the supercharger. By being driven electrically, the flow amount adjustment device can arbitrarily adjust a flow amount of air flowing through the bypass passage. The operational state detection portion detects an operational state of the internal combustion engine. The driving time determination portion determines a time at which the flow rate adjustment device is driven based on a result of detection performed by the operational state detection portion.

A slide fastener in which an insert pin and a box pin of a separable bottom stop assembly made of synthetic resin are molded integrally along side edges of fastener tapes. The insert pin and the box pin have peripheral shapes allowing themselves to be inserted into element row guide grooves of a slider, and are molded integrally such that the entire insert pin and the box pin incline toward rear face sides of the respective tapes from their inner side edges to outer side edges relative to tape planes of the fastener, said rear face sides having no core threads of the core portions. Thus, resin layers having substantially even thickness can be formed on both the front and rear face sides of the core portions so that the resin layers never peel away from rear surfaces of the fastener tapes, and the core portions and their peripheries never become brittle.

This nucleic acid recovering device comprises: a container to which a solution containing micro-organisms is supplied; electrodes which are made of a hollow fiber membrane coated with a conductive metal and which send electricity to the solution; a pulse oscillator which sends pulse waves to the electrodes; and a micropump which draws up the solution within the hollow fiber membrane coated with metal.

A liquid crystal color display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel having a section with transparent electrodes provided with color filters in striped formation and another section with transparent electrodes provided with no color filters, and separate electrode drive circuits for applying a voltage to the electrodes of the former section and another voltage to the electrodes of the latter section, with the intention of achieving little difference of brightness between both sections. The color filters in striped formation are provided in the entire area including display pattern segments having the arrangment of the transparent electrodes and a background area without transparent electrodes, with the intention of equalizing the visibility of unlighted segments and the background.
