摘要: An air filter device for a motor vehicle is provided with a filter housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a filter insert which is received in the filter housing and divides the inside of the filter housing into an untreated air section and a pure air section, and a bypass line for supplying air into the untreated air section. The bypass line extends from a connection opening in the filter housing to a cooler, especially a charge air cooler of the motor vehicle.

摘要: A system, method, and apparatus for controlling intake manifold air temperature (IMAT) of a dual fuel engine are provided. A determination regarding whether IMAT is to be modified is performed, followed by modifying the IMAT by changing flow of coolant in a cooling circuit in fluid communication with a separate circuit aftercooler (SCAC) of a SCAC circuit from a first flow path to a second flow path when it is determined that the IMAT is to be modified. A portion of the first flow path overlaps a portion of the second flow path.

摘要: Provided is an engine cooling system including: a first coolant circulation channel passing through an engine; a second coolant circulation channel bypassing the engine; an electric water pump (EWP); a connection channel connecting the first coolant circulation channel and the second coolant circulation channel; an electromagnetic valve arranged in the connection channel to change a flow rate of a coolant passing through the engine and flowing from the first coolant circulation channel to the second coolant circulation channel; an EGR cooler, a heater core, and an exhaust heat collection device arranged in the second coolant circulation channel; and a control unit, wherein closing of the electromagnetic valve is prohibited if there is an actuation request of the EGR cooler, the heater core, and the exhaust heat collection device when there is a valve closing request of the electromagnetic valve.

摘要: A multicylinder engine includes a plurality of intake ports, a plurality of in-cylinder injectors, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to initially set a value of a control parameter of the multicylinder engine, individually for each of the cylinders, such that there is a common regularity between a distribution among the cylinders, of a difference of the value of the control parameter of each of the cylinders from the value of the control parameter of a reference cylinder, and a distribution among the cylinders, of a difference of the distance of a narrowed portion of each of the cylinders from the distance of the narrowed portion of a reference cylinder. The control parameter is a parameter that determines an air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture around an ignition plug at a time of ignition in stratified charge combustion operation.

摘要: A system and methods for routing condensate collected in a heat exchanger reservoir to either an air intake system or a position in the engine exhaust based on the type of contaminate in the condensate and operating parameters of the engine or the catalyst are described. In one particular example, condensate is routed to a first position along the engine air intake system in a first mode of operation, and a second position upstream of the catalyst along the engine exhaust in a second mode of operation, and a third position downstream of the catalyst along the engine exhaust in a third mode of operation. When substantially no contaminates are detected, the condensate may be routed into the engine exhaust upstream of the catalyst in order to cool the catalyst.

摘要: A method for operating an engine system is provided, the method may include varying a compression ratio of a cylinder by selectively releasing combustion charge from the cylinder through a cylinder bleed valve of a cylinder head, the cylinder bleed valve coupled to a bleed manifold with a turbine-generator, and varying combustion charge flow through a turbine-generator bypass conduit bypassing the turbine-generator based on engine operating conditions. In this way, the compression ratio may be varied by selectively bleeding combustion charge from the cylinder based on engine operating conditions to promote better engine performance. Additionally, the combustion charge bleed from the cylinder can routed around a turbine-generator to increase combustion efficiency during certain operating conditions, such as during start-up, to further improve engine performance.

摘要: A chiller system includes an intercooler configured to cool compressed charge air received from a turbocharger or a supercharger, a low temperature cooling circuit fluidly coupled to the intercooler, the low temperature cooling circuit circulating a coolant to provide cooling to the intercooler and including a low temperature radiator configured to cool the coolant, a chiller-accumulator loop having a combined chiller-accumulator, a chiller bypass line bypassing the chiller-accumulator, and a charging valve configured to selectively provide coolant to at least one of the chiller-accumulator loop and the chiller bypass line, and an air conditioner circuit circulating a refrigerant and having a primary circuit and a bypass circuit. Refrigerant is selectively supplied to the chiller-accumulator to further cool the coolant in the chiller-accumulator loop after the coolant is cooled by the low temperature radiator, thereby providing increased cooling to the intercooler and the compressed charge air to increase engine performance.

摘要: In a method for operating a combustion engine in which exhaust gas located in a cylinder during an outlet cycle thereof is ejected from the cylinder and supplied to an exhaust system, a particularly high specific power output of the combustion engine and/or a particularly low specific fuel consumption are to be made possible, in a particularly simple and reliable manner. For this purpose, according to the invention, in a first cycle phase of the outlet cycle the pulse of the exhaust gas pressure wave flowing out of the cylinder is transmitted in whole or in part to the primary side of an exhaust gas charge pump, before the exhaust gas is passed to the exhaust system in a second cycle phase of the outlet cycle.
