Abstract: An image sensor, comprising: a first sensing region having a first size, configured to sense first kind of light having a first range of wavelengths; and a second sensing region having a second size, configured to sense second kind of light having a second range of wavelengths, wherein the first size and the second size are different, wherein at least portion of the first range of wavelengths and at least portion of the second range of wavelengths are different. The image sensor has a first light sensitivity level for sensing the first kind of light and has a second light sensitivity level for sensing the second kind of light, and a relation between the first size and the second size corresponds to a relation between the first light sensitivity level and the second light sensitivity level.

Abstract: A sensor device includes an image sensing array, a frame buffer, a first read line, a second read line and an energy accumulator. The image sensing array is configured to sense reflected light from a working surface and includes a plurality of sensing pixels and a plurality of self-powered pixels. The sensing pixels respectively output image data according to the sensed reflected light. The self-powered pixels respectively output photocurrent according to the sensed reflected light. The first read line is coupled between the sensing pixels and the frame buffer. The second read line is coupled between the self-powered pixels and the frame buffer. The energy accumulator stores electrical energy of the photocurrent via a charge path between the self-powered pixels and the energy accumulator.

Abstract: An optical mouse device includes a light source, an image sensor array, an energy storage element, a frame buffer and a processor, wherein the image sensor array includes a plurality of sensing pixels and a plurality of self-powered pixels. In a first mode, the sensing pixels output image data to the frame buffer, and the self-powered pixels output photocurrent to the energy storage element. In a second mode, the self-powered pixels output intensity data associated with the photocurrent to the frame buffer, and the processor determines whether to leave the second mode or not according to the intensity data. The energy storage element is configured to provide energy required in illumination.

Abstract: Disclosed are a QR code detection device and an operation method thereof. The QR code detection device comprises a body, a barcode detector and a barcode decoder. The barcode detector captures and processes a code image outside the body, and accumulates a number of times when a predetermined pattern feature is recognized in the code image. The predetermined pattern feature is a predetermined distance ratio. The barcode detector chooses a near-distance detection rule or a far-distance detection rule according to the processed code image to determine whether the predetermined pattern feature is recognized in the QR code image. When the barcode decoder determines that the code image is a QR code image because the number of times equals to a threshold number, the barcode decoder is automatically turned on to capture and decode the QR code image outside the body.

Abstract: Disclosed are a distance measuring method and a distance measuring apparatus. During the distance measuring, an image is obtained. If the location of a center of gravity of the image is within a first segment, the calculating unit calculates a distance between the object and the distance measuring apparatus corresponding to the projection point, according to a first mapping relationship and the location of a center of gravity of the image.
