    摘要： A system and method is disclosed for enabling a user to save and recall media playback and device setting states across multiple sets of home appliances. A set of media playback and device settings data from each home appliance of a first set of home appliances is stored on a central server and/or sent to a remote control device upon initiation of a suspend command by a user. The stored media and devices states may be used at a later time to control the first set of home appliances, or a user may, after relocating to a second set of home appliances, initiate a resume state command whereupon media playback and device settings data from the central server and/or remote control device controls each home appliance in the second set of home appliances to bring about the same or substantially similar media and device states as in the first set of home appliances. Programming on the remote control and/or central server may cause appropriate state data conversions to occur before commanding operation of the second set of home appliances in order to more closely emulate the media and device states saved from the first set of home appliances.

    摘要： A system and method is disclosed for enhanced data transfer methods within control environment for implementing functions on control devices. Generally, as a user browses content on a Content Server via a Control Point, various content sets will be concatenated by the Content Server based on an initial request from the Control Point, and all content in the content set will be sent as a single item from the Content Server to the Control Point, thus minimizing the number of message round trips and thus the protocol overhead needed to retrieve all content requested by the user. Information about the concatenated content set may be sent separately from the Content Server to the Control Point, or may be embedded in the content set as metadata, such that individual elements of the content set may be selectively displayed, controlled, and/or manipulated by the user via the Control Point.
