    摘要: Certain specific embodiments of the invention will now be discussed. For example, a process of preparing a copolymer composition that includes a diene-modified polypropylene copolymer is described, which process includes: contacting a metallocene catalyst compound with a polymerization medium that includes at least a propylene monomer and 2-methyl-1,5-hexadiene monomer or an α, internal non-conjugated diene monomer; and conducting polymerization of the monomers in the presence of the metallocene catalyst compound for a time sufficient to provide a diene-modified polypropylene random copolymer that includes monomeric units derived from each of the monomers, and having from 0.0 wt % to 2.0 wt % ethylene and a heat of fusion of 25 J/g or more.

    摘要: Functionalized copolymers of a C.sub.4 to C.sub.7 iso-olefin and para-alkylstyrene are provided which are prepared by a nucleophilic displacement of at least a portion of benzylic halogen present in the alkyl styrene moiety with an S--R.sup.2 (OH).sub.n nucleophile, R.sup.2 being C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbyl and n being an integer from 1 to 10. Polymer blends based on a mixture of a polar polymer and a functionalized isobutylene/para-alkylstyrene copolymer are also provided, wherein at least a portion of the benzylic halogen present in the alkyl styrene moiety is displaced by OH, S--R.sup.2 (OH).sub.n or N(H).sub.2-m ((R3)OH).sub.m, R.sup.3 being C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbyl and m being 1 or 2.

    摘要: Branched crystalline polypropylene compositions and methods for the preparation of branched crystalline polypropylene compositions are provided. For example, described herein is a process of preparing branched crystalline polypropylene composition that comprises contacting a supported metallocene catalyst compound with a polymerization medium that comprises propylene monomers; and conducting polymerization of the propylene monomers at a temperature greater than 70° C. for a time sufficient to provide branched crystalline polypropylene that has from 0.0 wt % to 2.0 wt % ethylene and a heat of fusion of 70 J/g or more.
