Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may adjust signaling in a slot configured for subband full-duplex (SBFD) communications based on receiving scheduling information indicating a signal. In a first option, a corresponding subband may be extended to include the signal. If there are remaining frequency resources, the remaining reverse-direction subband may be used for corresponding communications. In a second option, the remaining frequency resources of the reverse-direction subband may be used for same-direction communications as the signal. In a third option, the signal may be canceled, or a portion of the signal that is outside the corresponding subband may be canceled. In a fourth option, the signal may be treated as an error. In some examples, the options may be configured based on a type of the signal, or based on a priority level of the signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for enabling transitions between half-duplex and full-duplex modes in wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit to a base station a first indication of a switching latency for transitioning between a half-duplex mode and a full-duplex mode. The UE may receive, from the base station in accordance with the first indication of the switching latency, a second indication that the UE is to transition to one of the half-duplex mode or the full-duplex mode. The UE may transition to the half-duplex mode or the full-duplex mode based on receiving the second indication.

A network entity may jointly configure a user equipment (UE) with time and frequency resources for full duplex communications. For instance, the network entity may provide a time resource pattern to the UE indicating a sequence of types of time resources, and the sequence of types may include a first type configuring resources for uplink and downlink communications in a first time resource. A configuration for the first type of the first time resource may indicate a first portion of frequency resources allocated for downlink communications and a second portion of frequency resources allocated for uplink communications. Thus, the UE may receive downlink signals on the first portion of frequency resources in the first time resource, and the UE may transmit uplink signals on the second portion of frequency resources in the first time resource.

Two network entities may experience coexistence interference due to operating on a same channel or adjacent channels based on at least one of the network entities operating in a full-duplex mode. A first network entity may indicate, to the half-duplex network entity, an interference mitigation action to be performed for a duration of transmission time intervals. The interference mitigation action may include adjusting the power of downlink communications from the one of the network entities which overlap in bandwidth with uplink communications at the full-duplex network entity, muting a subband for a downlink communication, or configuring a larger guard band between operating channels.

Abstract: A configuration to enable a wireless device to resolve a conflict between configured transmit beams and configured receive beams in a self-interference measurement configuration. The first wireless device receives, from a second wireless device, a configuration for a self-interference measurement. The first wireless device determines whether a conflict is present between a configured transmit beam and a configured receive beam. The first wireless device resolves the conflict between the configured transmit beam and the configured receive beam. Similarly, a second wireless device configures a configuration for a self-interference measurement for a first wireless device. The second wireless device determines whether a conflict is present between a configured transmit beam and a configured receive beam of the configuration. The second wireless device resolves the conflict between the configured transmit beam and the configured receive beam. The second wireless device transmits, to the first wireless device, the configuration for the self-interference measurement.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) operating in a half-duplex mode may be scheduled, by a network entity operating in a full-duplex mode, to receive a downlink communication during a symbol period and to transmit an uplink communication during the symbol period, where uplink and downlink channel multiplexing enabled during the symbol period. The UE may then communicate with the network entity during the symbol period via either the downlink communication or the uplink communication in accordance with a prioritization rule associated with the half-duplex mode, where the prioritization rule indicates whether the UE should receive the downlink communication or transmit the uplink communication when the communications are scheduled in the same symbol period and when downlink and uplink channel multiplexing is enabled during the same symbol period.
