    Abstract: A retractable module includes a pair of bases spaced apart and a tube positioned between the bases. The tube is configured to rotate about its center axis relative to the bases. The retractable module includes a latch including one or more prongs. The latch is configured to move between a release position and a fixed position. The retractable module includes a first spring configured to urge the tube to rotate in a first direction. The first spring includes a first end and a second end. The first end being fixed to one base of the bases, and the second end being fixed to the tube. The retractable module further includes a sheet wrapped around the tube. The sheet is configured to unwrap from around the tube as the tube rotates in the second direction and wrap around the tube as the tube rotates in the first direction.

    Abstract: Cable release devices and methods are disclosed. The device includes a frame defining an aperture. The frame is sized to fit around a connector on a printed circuit board (PCB) within a computer system with the connector extending into the aperture. The device further includes a post extending from the frame. The device further includes a lever connected to the post. The lever includes a first end positioned such that the first end aligns with a latch of a cable when the cable is connected to the connector and when the frame is around the connector such that actuation of the lever causes the lever to depress the latch. The actuation causes the release of the cable from being retained by the connector.

    Abstract: A cable-gland system provides a sealing function to openings in an electronic chassis that receive cables. The cable-gland system comprises a plurality of individual cable glands. Each of the plurality of individual cable glands includes an exterior end to be positioned adjacent an exterior of the chassis, and an interior end for positioning within the chassis. Each of the plurality of individual cable glands includes a through-hole extending between the exterior and interior ends for receiving one of the cables, and an outer surface between the exterior and interior ends. Each of the plurality of individual cable glands has a male projection on one side of the outer surface and a female recess on an opposing side of the outer surface. The cable glands are connectable to form the cable-gland system by mating the male projection on one cable gland with the female recess of an adjacent cable gland.

    Abstract: A bracket assembly for installation of equipment is disclosed. The bracket assembly includes a female bracket with a receptacle and a recess in a wall of the receptacle; and a male bracket with a locking mechanism and a housing adapted to fit in the receptacle. The housing has walls defining a cavity. The locking mechanism has a latching member, a sliding member, and a shaft. The latching member is pivotable between an unlocked position and a locked position. When in the locked position, a first end of protrudes from the housing and rests in the recess. The sliding member moves along a vertical axis between two positions. When in a lower position, the sliding member presses a second end of the latching member to cause the first end to pivot into the unlocked position.     Abstract: An internal support bracket for a power switch includes a bottom support and a top cover. The top cover is secured to the bottom support. The combined bottom support and top cover define an aperture for securing the power switch. The bottom support includes a bottom surface with a ridge protruding therefrom. A method of securing a power switch to the interior of a computer chassis includes connecting a base support including a channel to an interior wall of the computer chassis. A power switch is positioned between a top cover and a separate bottom support. The separate bottom support includes a ridge protruding from a bottom surface. The top cover is secured to the separate bottom support. The ridge of the separate bottom support is slid into the channel such that the internal support bracket including the power switch is secured in a locked position.
