    摘要: Smoothing in a tangential direction of a contour and detail enhancement in its perpendicular direction are simultaneously achieved with spatial filters having prescribed weighing factor distribution. An area including a contour is first designated, and a direction of the contour is detected. A weighted mean value of an image signal is computed with weighing factors distributed in the spatial filter. The weighing factors have an effect of smoothing in the tangential direction of the contour and an effect of detail enhancement in the perpendicular direction.

A light beam is emitted by a light source and impinges upon an object to be measured. The light beam passes through or is reflected from the object to be measured and is received by a photoelectric element. An aperture diameter is selected such that, when the halftone dot area rate in a reference surface which has a screen pitch equal to that of the measured surface is approximately 50%, the ratio of the area of the dark portions to the area of the light portions of the halftone dots included within the aperture diameter, i.e. the measured surface, is substantially 1:1.

    摘要: A linear interpolating method and apparatus for color signals in a memory of a picture reproducing machine, wherein the stored signals are addressed in a three-dimensional fashion and a cubic interpolation unit in the memory is dissected into tetrahedra. It is determined which of these tetrahedra contains the interpolation point, and then the value at that point is interpolated from the known values at the vertices of the tetrahedron, using a certain method of linear interpolation. An apparatus is described for carrying out the method.

    摘要: A developer container is provided with a container body. An opening is formed through the container body. An opening/closing lid closes the opening. A lid holding frame holds the opening/closing lid in such a manner that the opening/closing lid can move between an open position and a closed position. A stopper stops the opening/closing lid and thereby preventing it from moving toward the open position in a state that the opening/closing lid is located at the closed position. A contact portion comes into contact with a hook portion provided in a container receiving portion when the developer container is inserted into the container receiving portion. A deformable portion deforms the stopper to such an extent that the stopping of the opening/closing lid by the stopper is canceled when the developer container is inserted into the container receiving portion and the contact portion comes into contact with the hook portion.

    摘要: An imaging optics capable of compensating for chromatic aberration is provided with a light shielding means in a surface peripheral area of a certain lens element in a lens system so as to block a light flux of a specified wavelength range, thereby eliminating chromatic aberration in halo of the light flux of the specified wavelength range when it passes the periphery of the lens system. Thus, the invention provides the imaging optics that, without an increase in the number of pieces of lens elements and without a use of an expensive specified low-dispersion glass material, in contrast with the prior art imaging optics of the same optical performances, well compensates for chromatic aberration, especially, in halo.
