Abstract: An object is to provide a highly reliable display unit having a function of sensing light. The display unit includes a light-receiving device and a light-emitting device. The light-receiving device includes an active layer between a pair of electrodes. The light-emitting device includes a hole-injection layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transport layer between a pair of electrodes. The light-receiving device and the light-emitting device share one of the electrodes, and may further share another common layer between the pair of electrodes. The hole-injection layer is in contact with an anode and contains a first compound and a second compound. The electron-transport property of the electron-transport layer is low; hence, the light-emitting layer is less likely to have excess electrons. Here, the first compound is the material having a property of accepting electrons from the second compound.

Abstract: A display device having a function of sensing light is provided. A highly convenient display device is provided. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a light-receiving element, a transistor, and a light-emitting element in a display portion. The light-receiving element, the transistor, and the light-emitting element are each positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. The light-receiving element is positioned closer to the first substrate than the transistor is. The light-emitting element is positioned closer to the second substrate than the transistor is. The light-receiving element includes a layer containing an organic compound. The transistor is electrically connected to the light-emitting element. The display device preferably further includes a lens and light transmitted through the lens preferably enters the light-receiving element.

The control portion has a function of comparing the first fingerprint data with the second fingerprint data; a function of executing first processing associated with the first icon in the case where the first fingerprint data and the second fingerprint data match; and a function of executing second processing in the case where the first fingerprint data and the second fingerprint data do not match.

Abstract: An object is to provide a display device having a function of emitting visible light and infrared light and an imaging function. Another object is to increase the definition without changing the density of imaging elements while the high resolution of an image displayed on a display device is kept. The display device has a layout in which a light-receiving region of an imaging element is provided between light-emitting regions of a plurality of light-emitting elements over one substrate. In the imaging function of the display device, as a means for increasing the definition of a captured image, the definition is increased without changing the density of imaging elements by capturing an image by time division.

Abstract: A thin lightweight imaging device is provided. A highly convenient imaging device is provided. The imaging unit includes an imaging unit, a memory, and an arithmetic circuit. The imaging unit includes a light-receiving device, a first light-emitting device, and a second light-emitting device. The first light-emitting device has a function of emitting light in a wavelength range that is different from a wavelength range of light emitted by the second light-emitting device. The imaging unit has a function of making the first light-emitting device emit light and acquiring first image data. The imaging unit has a function of making the second light-emitting device emit light and acquiring second image data. The memory has a function of retaining the first reference data and the second reference data. The arithmetic circuit has a function of correcting the first image data with the use of the first reference data retained in the memory and calculating first correction image data. The arithmetic circuit has a function of correcting the second image data with the use of the second reference data retained in the memory and calculating second correction image data. The arithmetic circuit has a function of combining the first correction image data and the second correction image data to generate synthesized image data. The light-receiving device includes a first pixel electrode, and the first light-emitting device includes a second pixel electrode on the same plane as the first pixel electrode.
