Abstract: A method and system for associating information regarding an object with image objects is disclosed, wherein each image object is a visual data containers including an image associated with the object and data items relating to the object. A user may interact with a graphical user interface to create, modify, and associate image objects by means of the associated images. Information regarding the objects may be associated therewith by means of the image objects, and image objects may be associated with other image objects to generate associations between information regarding the underlying objects. Information regarding other image objects or the associated image may be used to determine information regarding the object, which may be associated with the image object. In some embodiments, associating two or more image objects may associate the underlying objects for purposes of insurance policies or may generate a new insurance policy based on the image objects.

Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) system for generating and displaying a pre-disaster Enhanced Situation Visualization (ESV) is provided. The AR system may include an ESV computing device, a user computing device operated by a user and a reference database. The user computing device may transmit a reference request message to the ESV device, the reference request message including an image and/or GPS location of a property. The ESV computing device may determine the subject of the image is the property, retrieve reference information including peril maps associated with the property from the reference database, and determine situation information specific to the subject. The reference and situation information including a loss estimate may be displayed on the user computing device to provide an ESV of the property. The ESV may be used for insurance-related activities, such as handling, adjusting, and/or generating an insurance policy, premium, and/or discount, and/or generating insurance-related recommendations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing digital image data associated with a property for an insurance quote are described. According to certain aspects, a mobile device may enable a user to capture digital image data and/or a video stream and other information of house features and characteristics that may be used to determine insurability and estimated replacement cost of the property. The mobile device may enable the user to capture the information at the property location, which may eliminate the need for a manual assessment or characterization of home features by a homeowner. A back-end server may receive the data, analyze the data to generate an insurance quote (and/or insurance application) for the property, and transmit the insurance quote (and/or application) to the mobile device for presentation to the user. The mobile device may enable the user to select terms, deductibles, limits, and/or coverages, and ultimately approve a homeowner's insurance policy.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media are disclosed for determining a homeowners insurance quote from a captured image of a dwelling. The captured image includes geotagged information, and the address of the dwelling is determined by reverse geocoding this information. An insurance premium quote may then be generated based on the reverse geocoded address and any additional risk assessment factors, such as the building characteristics. Verification of the address may also be performed by accessing one or more databases, which may store information including addresses, coordinates, and images associated with the address. The building characteristics may be retrieved from one or more of the databases to allow for quote generation with minimal user intervention. Matching properties having comparative quotes near the dwelling address may also be generated.

Abstract: A system for enhanced personal property replacement (i) builds a virtual inventory of personal belongings, such as by performing object recognition techniques on mobile device digital images with the customer’s permission or affirmative consent; (ii) receives user preferences transmitted from their mobile device; (iii) receives a request from the user to handle an insurance claim after an insurance-related event; (iv) determines items to purchase for the user based upon the user preferences, and/or the extent of damage; and/or (v) transmits, to a retailer remote server a virtual order for the items to be delivered to the user at a temporary (hotel) or permanent (home) address. Insurance claim monies may be used to pay for the items. As a result, after an event (e.g., fire, tornado, hurricane), household or other goods may be automatically purchased and delivered to a customer to alleviate the negative impact of the event on their life.
