Abstract: A display device that can simplify the manufacturing process thereof is provided. The display device includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a roof layer formed above the pixel electrode in such a manner so as to be spaced apart from the pixel electrode with a microcavity interposed therebetween; a liquid crystal layer disposed in the microcavity; and an encapsulation layer disposed on the roof layer and sealing the microcavity, wherein the roof layer has an L-shape.
