Abstract: A charger integrated circuit includes a bidirectional switching converter including first to fourth switching elements connected in series, an inductor connected to a third switching element, and a capacitor connected to a second switching element and the third switching element, and a controller configured to generate, a first PWM signal and a second PWM signal based on sensing signals from the bidirectional switching converter, and a first switching signal controlling first and fourth switching elements based on the first PWM signal in response to an average of an inductor current being positive, a second switching signal controlling second and third switching elements based on the second PWM signal, and generate the first switching signal based on the second PWM signal, and the second switching signal based on the first PWM signal in response to the average value of the inductor current being negative.

Abstract: A battery device includes a first battery and a second battery connected in series. An electronic device for determining a state of charge of the battery device includes a sense resistor connected in series to the second battery, and a fuel gauge. The fuel gauge is configured to determine the state of charge of the battery device based on a first terminal voltage of the first battery, a first calculation current of the first battery, a second terminal voltage of the second battery, and a measurement current of the second battery measured through the sense resistor. The fuel gauge calculates a second calculation current of the second battery using a battery parameter of an equivalent circuit model, corrects the battery parameter when a difference between the measurement current and the second calculation current is not less than a threshold value, and calculates the first calculation current using the battery parameter or a corrected battery parameter.

Abstract: A voltage converter includes a power switching unit and an indirect sensing circuit. The power switching unit includes a plurality of power switches and a capacitor. The indirect sensing circuit receives an input voltage, a first voltage at a first node of the capacitor, and a second voltage at a second node of the capacitor, and generates first and second sensing output voltages based on the input voltage and the first and second voltages. A voltage difference between the first and second voltages is equal to a fractional multiple of the input voltage.
