    摘要: Systems and methods provide a single E.164 number for voice and data call redirection and telephony services such as caller identification, regardless of in which type of network a dual mode mobile device operates. When the dual mode device registers and is active in a GSM network, temporary routing and status updates are triggered and resultant information is maintained in both networks. A mobile terminated call is routed through an enterprise WLAN with call control within the enterprise being handled by SIP or H.323 signaling, and the call is redirected to the mobile device in the GSM network, where call control is assumed by the SS7 network. Services are provided using the protocols native to the active network, and the single E.164 is used consistently along with or lieu of the temporary routing information for subscriber identity specific functions, such as caller identification and voice mail.

    摘要: A hearing aid device is configured to operate as an ear bud device for a wireless phone. The hearing aid device functions in a manner similar to a conventional hearing aid device in a first operational state. The operational state of the hearing aid device is changed to a second operational state, in some embodiments, by a verified input from a wireless phone. Upon the change in operational state, the microphone input from the aided ear bud is output to the wireless phone while the incoming transmission from the wireless phone is combined with the microphone input and output to the user. The hearing aid device can be modified to receive analog or digital inputs from other outside sources. Exemplary methods for operating a hearing aid device is disclosed. An exemplary mobile communications device for interfacing with the hearing aid device also is disclosed.

The home network conversion interface first determines the data type of the incoming signal. Next, the home network conversion interface creates a routing sequence of the incoming signal based on the determined data type. Finally, the home network conversion interface converts the incoming signal into an 802.X format and sends the signal to an appropriate IP device based on the determined signal type. Should the home network conversion interface lose electrical power, a drop contactor routes the incoming signal directly to an analog device without creating a routing sequence or performing an 802.X conversion.

    摘要: An anonymous location wireless network service for use in a wireless network that tracks the location and identity of network users, such as networks complying with enhanced 911 standards. The service provides content providers with the location of network users without revealing their identities. The service includes a wireless network having a proxy server, a network communication link to a plurality of web sites, and a wireless communication link to a plurality of handheld devices. The proxy server blocks identity by reading the location and identity information of network devices, generating dummy identifications, relating the dummy identifications to the identity information, storing the relationships in a memory storage, and forwarding the location information and dummy identifications to the global computer network. Upon receiving return messages from the global computer network, the proxy server reads the dummy identifications, looks up the related identity information in the memory storage, and forwards the data to the appropriate network devices.

The approach also provides an SS7 service-based solution including the capability of the home network to control the roaming mobile station from registering on a non-preferred visited network, based on configurable rules. The approach provides the ability to segment subscribers, increased/assured quality of service, no limits on designation of carrier preferences, the ability to apportion roaming traffic across numerous operators in a given foreign territory, capability for real-time changes of preferred network, and preservation of manual network selection capabilities.

    摘要: The present invention is a method and system for pushing data to a mobile station. A message is pushed from the push content server to a Java-enabled mobile terminal. A Java MIDlet on the mobile terminal then intercepts the message and determines the appropriate delivery of the SMS message. The Java MIDlet can determine whether to present the SMS message via normal SMS protocol, present the SMS message to the screen of the mobile device, reject the SMS message, or automatically accept the SMS message. If the message is accepted by the mobile device, the Java MIDlet may initiate GPRS or EDGE interface to request data to the mobile device.
