The processor is configured A) to determine a constrained estimate of a current acoustic transfer function vector (ATFpd,cur) in dependence of said M electric input signals and said dictionary (Δpd), B) to determine an unconstrained estimate of a current acoustic transfer function vector (ATFuc,cur) in dependence of said M electric input signals, and C) to determine a resulting acoustic transfer function vector (ATF*) for a user of the hearing system in dependence thereof and of a confidence measure related to said electric input signals. A method of operating a hearing device is also disclosed. Thereby an improved noise reduction system for a hearing aid or headset may be provided.

摘要: Audio communication methods, devices, and systems are provided with an ultra-low latency communications protocol. One illustrative communication method suitable for a primary hearing instrument includes: transmitting a preamble packet to initiate a wireless connection; after receiving a preamble response packet, wirelessly sending a downlink stream of audio data frames; and wirelessly receiving an uplink stream of audio data frames. The audio data frames of the downlink stream and the uplink stream each consist of a message packet, a check packet, and multiple single-sample audio data packets, and these packets exclude any preambles or sync words. The audio data frame packets of the downlink stream and the uplink stream are interleaved with each other.

摘要: A personalized sound management system for an acoustic space includes at least one transducer, a data communication system, one or more processors operatively coupled to the data communication system and the at least one transducer, and a medium coupled to the one or more processors. The processors access a database of sonic signatures and display a plurality of personalized sound management applications that perform at least one or more tasks among identifying a sonic signature, calculating a sound pressure level, storing metadata related to a sonic signature, monitoring sound pressure level dosage levels, switching to an ear canal microphone in a noisy environment, recording a user's voice, storing the user's voice in a memory of an earpiece device, or storing the user's voice in a memory of a server system, or converting received text received in texts or emails to voice using text to speech conversion. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Vagal nerve stimulation devices and methods are provided for treating medical conditions, such as conditions associated with insufficient dopamine and/or endogenous opioids in the brain. A device includes one or more electrodes having a contact surface for contacting an outer skin surface of a patient and an energy source coupled to the electrodes. The energy source generates one or more electrical impulses and transmits the electrical impulses to the electrodes and transcutaneously through the outer skin surface of the patient at or near a vagus nerve. The one or more electrical impulses is sufficient to modulate the vagus nerve and release dopamine and/or endogenous opioids in a brain of the patient.

摘要: A hearing aid comprises a) an ITE-part adapted for being located at or in an ear canal of the user, b) a forward path for processing sound from the environment of the user. The forward path comprises b1) at least one first input transducer providing at least one first electric input signal representing said sound as received at the respective at least one first microphone, said at least one first input transducer being located to allow picking up sound from the environment of the user, b2) an audio signal processor comprising a gain unit for applying a frequency and/or level dependent prescribed gain to compensate for a hearing impairment of the user to said at least one first electric input signal, or a signal or signals originating therefrom, and configured to provide a processed signal in dependence thereof, b3) an output transducer for providing stimuli perceivable as sound to the user in dependence of said processed signal. The hearing aid further comprises c) at least one second input transducer providing at least one second electric input signal representing said sound as received at the at least one second input transducer, the at least one second input transducer being located in said ITE-part to pick up sound at the eardrum of the user, d) a correlator configured to determine a correlation measure between the at least one second electric input signal, or a signal originating therefrom, and a signal of the forward path and e) a gain modifier configured to modify said gain of the gain unit in dependence of said correlation measure. A method of operating a hearing aid is further disclosed.

摘要: A hearing protection system includes an earplug and an electronic hearing device inserted into a cavity in the earplug. The electronic hearing device includes electronics that incorporate digital signal processing to provide sound amplification and fast compression programming to shut off sound amplification to protect the user when a loud noise is detected. The housing of the electronic hearing device has a sound aperture for emitting the sound from a speaker assembly. The sound aperture is aligned with an opening of a sound tube in the earplug so that sound generated by the speaker assembly can propagate through the sound tube to the user's ear canal. The electronic hearing device may include a short-range communication interface for receiving a short-range communication signal that carries information. The system may include a noise dosimeter that generates noise exposure measurement data related to a dose of noise exposure over a period of time.

The first hearing assistance policy is configured to be applied to the audio device to output a first audio signal adapted to the first hearing test result.
