摘要： A turbine brush for a vacuum cleaner according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises a turbine brush body connected to a cleaner body in which a suction force is generated and having a suction path therein, a brush member rotatably mounted to the turbine brush body, a driving unit rotatably mounted in the turbine brush body to drive the brush member, and an inertia member for adding inertia to a driving force of the driving unit. Accordingly, a rotative force is not deteriorated even by small particles such as fine dust and hair, owing to the inertia added to the turbine, thereby improving a cleaning efficiency.

摘要： Disclosed is a locking unit to fix a removable cyclone dust collector in a receiving portion of a main body of a vacuum cleaner. The locking unit comprises a locking recess formed at one side of a contact surface of the cyclone dust collector and the receiving portion. A lock element ascends and descends between a locking position and an unlocking position with respect to the locking recess and passes through a hole which is formed at another side of the contact surface of the cyclone dust collector and the receiving portion. An operating member selectively moves the lock element to the locking position and the unlocking position.

摘要： A locking unit of a brush assembly for use with a vacuum cleaner has a release preventing member so that if the brush assembly accidentally falls, the release preventing member conveniently keeps upper and lower housings of the assembly assembled. The brush assembly includes the upper and lower housings. A connector is secured in one of the upper and lower housings and is adapted to direct air in the upper and lower housings towards a suction force generator of the vacuum cleaner. A locking unit rotates on the connector to open and sealingly close the upper and the lower housings. The release preventing member is formed between the connector and the locking unit to prevent release of the locking unit.

摘要： A vacuum cleaner comprises a suction port assembly having a suction inlet, a rotatable drum, a driving pulley that drives the rotatable drum, a driven pulley that is driven by a motor and a free-wheeling idler pulley that can rotate irrespective of the driven pulley. A drive belt between the motor and the driven pulley can be moved off the driven pulley and onto the free-wheeling idler pulley. When the drive belt from the motor rides on the idler pulley, the rotatable drum is disconnected from the motor, allowing it to stop. The drive belt is move onto and off of the idler pulley by a user-operable two-position guide member. In a first position, the drive belt is connected to the driven pulley. In the second position, the drive belt is directed onto the free-wheeling idler pulley. A user of the vacuum cleaner can selectively activate and deactivate the rotatable drum during cleaning thereby saving power, reducing wear on the rotating drum and its bristles and reducing noise.
