Abstract: The structure of an imaging device is simplified. An imaging device capable of imaging without a lens or an image processing method is provided. Image data which is out of focus is sharpened. An image processing method of image data in which a plurality of pixels are arranged is provided. Adjacent two pixels are each divided into a first region showing the same pixel value between the adjacent two pixels and a second region other than the first region, an initial value is supplied to the second region of an endmost pixel of the image data, and the pixel values of the first regions and the second regions of the plurality of arranged pixels are determined inductively and sequentially on the basis of the initial value.

Abstract: Provided is a display device having high visibility regardless of the intensity of external light. Provided is a display device capable of a variety of display. Provided is a display device that can operate with low power consumption. The display device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a first liquid crystal layer, a second liquid crystal layer, a first coloring layer, and a first insulating layer. The first liquid crystal layer overlaps with the second liquid crystal layer with the first insulating layer therebetween. The first electrode is configured to reflect visible light. The second electrode includes a portion not overlapping with the first electrode and is configured to transmit visible light. The second liquid crystal layer includes a first portion overlapping with the first coloring layer and the second electrode, and a second portion not overlapping with the first coloring layer. The first portion contains monomers and liquid crystal. The second portion contains a polymer obtained by polymerization of the monomers.

Abstract: Provided is a novel display device without deterioration of display quality or a novel display device in which flickering due to a reduced refresh rate is suppressed. The display device includes a pixel for displaying a still image at a frame frequency of less than or equal to 1 Hz. The pixel includes a liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer includes a molecule whose dipole moment is greater than or equal to 0 debye and less than or equal to 3 debye. Thus, flickering due to a reduced refresh rate can be suppressed, which leads to an improvement in display quality.

Abstract: To provide a display device with excellent display quality, in a display device including a signal line, a scan line, a transistor, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode in a pixel, the common electrode is included in which an extending direction of a region overlapping with the signal line differs from an extending direction of a region overlapping with the pixel electrode in a planar shape and the extending directions intersect with each other between the signal line and the pixel electrode. Thus, a change in transmittance of the pixel can be suppressed; accordingly, flickers can be reduced.

Abstract: To provide a liquid crystal display device suitable for a thin film transistor which uses an oxide semiconductor. In a liquid crystal display device which includes a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor layer, a film having a function of attenuating the intensity of transmitting visible light is used as an interlayer film which covers at least the oxide semiconductor layer. As the film having a function of attenuating the intensity of transmitting visible light, a coloring layer can be used and a light-transmitting chromatic color resin layer is preferably used. An interlayer film which includes a light-transmitting chromatic color resin layer and a light-blocking layer may be formed in order that the light-blocking layer is used as a film having a function of attenuating the intensity of transmitting visible light.

Abstract: A flicker of an FFS liquid crystal display device that is driven at a low refresh rate is reduced. In an FFS liquid crystal display, a pixel electrode and a first common electrode included in a liquid crystal element are formed on an element substrate side, and a second common electrode is formed on another substrate (counter substrate) side. By making the first and second common electrodes have the same potential, generation of a residual DC voltage can be suppressed in a pixel. Thus, even when a refresh rate is lowered, change in transmittance of a pixel can be suppressed in a data retention period, so that a flicker can be reduced.
