    摘要: A connector inspecting device that positively determines whether a metal terminal has been correctly inserted into the housing of the connector includes a slider provided in a checker housing in such a manner that it is movable and urged toward a connector by a compression spring. The slider includes a lance check pin protruded toward the connector and an electrical contactor that is integral with the lance check pin. When the connector is at a "normal position," the lance check pin goes in a lance bending space provided for a lance, so that the electrical contactor is electrically connected to the metal terminal. In the case where the metal terminal is set at a "half insertion position," the lance check pin abuts against the lance, which prevents the contact of the electrical contactor with the metal terminal.

After the core 2 is fastened to an inner fastening portion 18 of the inner terminal 11 outside the outer terminal 12, the inner terminal 11 is inserted into the dielectric element 13. An outer fastening portion 22 of the outer terminal 12 is crimped into connection with a section 4A of the braided wire 4 folded back around an end of a sheath 5. In the center of the outer terminal 12, the upper surface is opened to provide an open space 21A. The fastened portion of the core 2 is covered on four sides by mounting the cover 14 to cover the open space 21A.

    摘要: An insulation displacement terminal fitting is provided to avoid cracks when V-shaped blades (16) are embossed into the terminal fitting. A deformation-facilitating portion (17) is formed in the terminal fitting for increasing a stretching degree of a portion of a side wall (15) that becomes an edge (16A) at the leading end of the V-shaped blade (16). The deformation-facilitating portion (17) includes a weakened portion (17A) and at least one connecting portion (17B) at locations on the blade (16) continuous with the side wall (15). Since connecting portions (17B) of the deformation-facilitating portion (17) are stretched to a large degree during embossing, a stretching degree of a portion near the edge (16A) can be small, thereby preventing cracks in the edge (16A).

    摘要: A shielded connector is provided with an improved shielding characteristic. The shielded connector includes male and female shielded connectors (10a, 10b). A section of an inner conductor (51) of a shielded cable (50) that is not covered by an outer conductor (52) and a portion of an inner terminal (20a) at and near an inner crimping portion (24) that is fastened to the leading end of the inner conductor (51) are covered on three sides by a covering portion (45). Accordingly, shielding characteristic can be improved remarkably. By connecting the male and female shielded connectors (10a, 10b) with opening surfaces of the covering portions (45) thereof faced in opposite directions, radiation characteristic can be balanced. Therefore, an influence on a high-frequency signal transmitting through the inner conductor (51) can be reduced when it is passing through the shielded connectors (10a, 10b), with the result that shielding characteristic can be improved.

    摘要: To prevent deformation of lock portions and make a block connector smaller a dovetail-shaped lock groove 21 is formed at a front end of the upper surface of the lower housing 2 over the entire width, and a dovetail-shaped lock rib 22 which can be pressed into the lock groove 21 is formed on the lower surface of the upper housing 1. The lock rib 22 is divided into three divided ribs with clearances therebetween, and the projecting heights of the divided ribs differ. The lock groove 21 is formed to have a stepped shape. Recesses 32 which form jig insertion holes are so formed as to conform to the clearances of the lock rib 22. A rear locking mechanism is such that lock projections 30 are fitted into lock holes 29, and is relatively easily unlockable by rotating the front end of the upper housing 1. When the front ends of the upper and lower housings 1, 2 are disengaged by inserting a disengagement jig into the jig insertion hole, the lock rib 22 comes out of the lock groove while being guided by slanted side surfaces. If the front end of the upper housing 1 is subsequently rotated, the rear lock portion is also unlocked.

Further, jig insertion holes B6 for inserting a disengaging jig E are formed in the front surface of the lower housing B. The lock projection A7 and the lock hole B3 can be disengaged by inserting the disengaging jig E into the jig insertion hole B6 and prizing the jig insertion hole B6 with the disengaging jig E. Thereafter, if the forcibly opened front ends of the housings A, B are rotated about the rear ends thereof, the lock projections A8 and the lock holes B5 can be disengaged.

The resilient contact piece includes: a first fold being formed by extending an extending end portion from a wall portion of the cylindrical insertion portion and folding the extending end portion back into a hollow of the cylindrical insertion portion, the first fold being given resiliency; a second fold being formed by further folding the extending end portion inward, the second fold being given resiliency; and a stopper for regulating an amount of flexion of the resilient contact piece, the stopper being formed by bending the extending end portion of the second fold so as to confront a back surface between the first fold and the second fold. A male terminal fitting is retained in pressure contact with the resilient contact piece by inserting the male terminal fitting into the cylindrical insertion portion.

    摘要: A connector includes a retainer for retaining metal terminals within a housing. The retainer includes provisional retaining projections and complete retaining projections. The retainer can be held on a housing in three depth positions. Namely, in the first insertion position (free position) of the retainer, the metal terminal is allowed to be inserted and withdrawn. In the second insertion position (provisional retained position), the provisional retaining portion engages the stabilizers to prevent the withdrawal of the metal terminal but allows the insertion of the metal terminal. In the third insertion position (complete retained position), the complete retaining projection is projected into and engaged in a retaining hole in the metal terminal, thereby preventing the withdrawal and insertion of the metal terminal.
