摘要： A connector is provided to achieve individual water protection while reducing connection force without complicating the construction of housings. The connector includes female housing 10 with an inner housing 11 formed with cavities 14 into which female terminal fittings 2 are insertable and an outer housing 12 accommodating the inner housing 11. A male housing 40 is provided with a smaller receptacle 42 into which the inner housing 11 is fittable, and male terminal fittings 44 are mounted to project into the smaller receptacle 42. A second gelatinous material 46 is mounted on a back surface 42A of the smaller receptacle 42 in advance while being penetrated by the male terminal fittings 44. As the housings 10, 40 are connected, the second gelatinous material 46 is compressed between the back surface 42A of the smaller receptacle 42 and a front surface 11A of the inner housing 11, thereby providing water protection between the housings 10, 40 and between the respective cavities 14 of the inner housing 11.

摘要： An electrical terminal has inwardly directed blades (21,22) to cut through insulation and make contact with an electrical core wire. Two sets of axially spaced blades are provided to increase security. The front set of blades (21) is bent in from opposite sides whereas the rear set is bent up from the base. This configuration gives a short terminal length without risk of deformation when the usual wire barrels (13) are crimped.

摘要： A pressure contact terminal (10) has a pair of anterior and posterior pressure contact blades (17) formed thereon to define pressure contact grooves (20). A pushing-in member (23) is provided that fits into the terminal and has pressure contact grooves (27) formed on anterior and posterior end faces. The upper ends of the pressure contact grooves (27) have pressing-down members (28) for pressing down an electric wire (1) to a specified extent. After placing an end of the electric wire (1) on the pressure contact blades (17), the pushing-in member (23) is placed thereon and clamped using pliers P. Locking protrusions (31) enter locking holes (32) to retain the pushing-in member (23).

摘要： A connector includes lever pivotally mounted on a lateral wall of a male connector housing. When a female connector housing is inserted into the male connector housing, a cam follower projection formed on a cover is engaged with a cam groove formed on the lever. The lever is formed of four split pieces: a base plate, a second split piece, a third split piece, and an operating strip. For connecting or disconnecting the connectors, the lever can be expanded to maximize leverage. For storage, the lever can be contracted to minimize the amount of space occupied.

摘要： To prevent an electric wire cover from being attached upside down, ribs 16 and 24 are formed respectively on the outer peripheral upper face of a housing 10 and the inner peripheral lower face of an electric wire cover 20. Two wire distribution spaces 36U and 36L are provided between the housing 10 and the electric wire cover 20, extending along the upper and lower faces of the housing 10. When the electric wire cover 20 is correctly attached, the ribs 16 and 24 of the housing 10 and the electric wire cover 20 do not interfere with one another. However, when the electric wire cover 20 is upside down, the ribs 16 and 24 interfere with one another, thereby preventing the attachment of the electric wire cover 20.

摘要： A connector in which the deformation of lock portions is prevented, and the connector can have a compact design, and housings are prevented from being displaced with respect to each other in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Transverse grooves of a dovetail shape are formed respectively in widthwise opposite ends of an upper surface of a lower housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed in a widthwise central portion of this upper surface. Transverse ribs of a dovetail shape are formed respectively at widthwise opposite ends of a lower surface of an upper housing at a front end portion thereof, and longitudinal grooves of a dovetail shape are formed on a widthwise central portion of this lower surface. The transverse ribs are greater in projecting height than the longitudinal ribs. When the ribs are press-fitted respectively into the associated grooves, the two housings are locked together. When an external force of above a predetermined level is applied so as to separate the two housings from each other, the ribs are withdrawn respectively from the grooves, thereby disconnecting the two housings from each other.
